Theology / Apologetics / Re: To born again Christians..

Bro Hank, thank you very much. You wrote:
At the moment of belief in Jesus Christ, three things happen: 1, Christ puts Himself ON us....we become immersed (baptized) IN Him. 2, Jesus baptizes (seals, or immerses) us with the Holy Spirt, and 3, the Holy Spirit baptizes (immerses) us INTO the Body of Christ, His church.
These actions are irrevocable.
From the above, you believe that the BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT takes place at the moment of Salvation, right?
But the word SEALED does NOT mean 'being baptized (or immersed)'.... it means, according to your own words, " to set a seal upon, mark with a seal, to seal "... which I mean, is that, God put a mark on a born again person to tell the world/devil that he/she belongs to Me (heaven).
I believe BAPTISM in the Holy Spirit is a definite experience in the life of a born again (saved) believer; like the experience of baptism in water. We can see a person being immersed in water (for water baptism) but how do we know (or see) whether a believer is baptized or not in the Holy Spirit.... this is my question.

Blessings!

Thank you SOWER. I appreciate it.
What is the difference between DEATH OF THE SPIRIT and SPIRITUAL DEATH? Could you please explain with few Scriptural references?

Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven.
These are two phrases the Lord Jesus have mentioned several times in the gospels, and also in other NT books.
What is/are the difference/s between these two kingdoms?

But Adam and Eve were "not born" but "created" as fully mature humans, right? And, created not with sinful nature but in God's image!
It right that WE are born in sin. So the question still needs clear answer......

Hmmm.... I thought there were few born-agains in this board!
Ollie, would you please explain the "reason" to be born again in the verses you quoted above (Rom. 6:3-13)?
Ebia, thanx.
I would appreciate some "explanation" rather than just quoting few Bible verses.
Thanks.

I believe one has to born again to enter into the kingdom of God. I know the conversation between the Lord Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3 is world famous.
But why, I mean, what is the "real reason", to be born again?

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. (Matthew 5:37-kjv)
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:15-16-kjv)
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. (Matthew 12:36-37-kjv)

Hi, - The disciples were with Jesus for about three and a half years, day and night, still He asked them to wait in Jerusalem (Luke 24:49), why?
- Mark 16:17~18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." Does this mean/apply only to first century believers??
- John 7:37~38 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and proclaimed, "If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, 'Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.'" What are these rivers?
- How do a person know that he is filled/overflow/baptized in the Holy Spirit?
If personal opinions/interpretations, please mention it. PLEASE, do NOT quote too many verses but give references. Let me do some homework. Thank you.

Hello Laisie It’s the everlasting love of God that touched your heart with His Holy Spirit Who gave you thirst to find the Truth. And the Truth is Christ Jesus, and Him alone (John 14:6). Your first step into following Christ is to become a born again child of God. You don’t need to go anywhere for it. The following is a fine small site, very simply written; please click and read very carefully (you mentioned you already are a Christian but when you read this site, you will know if you really are): http://www.his-amazing-love.org/sarah.html (Please send the above site to all your friends. You may write to the webmaster, she is good in right teaching.) The short stories in it will help you understand more the basics and help you trust the Lord Jesus. Read the Bible, which is the Word of God, as much as you can. Try to meditate what you have read. Fill your heart with the Word of God so that you do not sin against God. (There are errors in Catholic Bible version. Amplified Bible will help you understand easily, I believe; or any other popular version.) Receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, it will show the real difference. You need fellowship. So find a Spirit-filled church and join them, but pray, may the Holy Spirit lead you. (John 16:13). He is the heavenly Guide. Don’t go to a Catholic priest with your doubts. And, search for cults in your place and avoid contacting them (like Jehovah’s Witnesses, Latter Day Saints, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, etc.). Always pray for the right leading. Yea, don’t be scared. Fear is one of Satan’s potent weapons. You are only 13, you have longer span of life to serve the Lord Jesus. Find your calling and live for the Lord. Roman Catholics are fine people, I love them. But they are completely deceived and brainwashed. Once you are out, pray for your beloved ones. The Lord will take then out, one-by-one, as per your burdened prayer. Blessings! .

Hello 4JC Thank you very much for the info on Kenyon. I know John MacArthur and have some of his audio tapes. He too have doctrinal problems such as on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. I like the teachings of Derek Prince, who died last month at the age of 88 at Jerusalem. If interested, you may get his site in 'favorite sites' at http://www.his-amazing-love.org Thank you again. God bless you.

Hi Phil,
(E W Kenyon) Isn't he the one who started the born again Jesus (suffered 3 days in hell for our sins) heresy?
Phil, run from this stuff, your messing around with essential doctrine.
God bless
4JC
Hello 4JC, would you please let me know about it? I am not familiar with this Kenyon but know about this book. And have not read the book yet! Blessings!
