Fellowship / Witnessing / Mainland China
|
on: January 05, 2008, 07:20:41 AM
|
My wife and I just returned to the Philippines from mainland China. We spent 6 months there. It was a real eye opening experience for us. Open worship of God is strictly prohibited by the government of China. To purchase a Bible you MUST register your name and complete address first. Later you you be visited by the police and have your Bible confiscated .
While there we had many people come to us and ask us to tell them about Jesus. God is very much alive in China and working in the underground church. Please pray for the people there. As God provides, we will do more here in the Philippines as well as China.

|
on: May 17, 2007, 10:20:40 PM
|
Please pray for us as the enemy is very active trying to steal our finances. We have deadlines approaching fast and we need a miracle from God. The ministry here is at stake and we refuse to let the enemy prevail! The people of the Philippines and the children's orphanage must go on for Jesus.

As we near time to construct the orphanage, we need volunteers to help us. If you want to experience the power of God here in the Philippines we invite you. Please pray that God would touch the hearts of workers to come and be a part of the ministry here.

Entertainment / Laughter (Good Medicine) / Welcome to Heaven!
|
on: April 26, 2007, 04:08:56 AM

Tell this one to a friend, if you dare! Last night I had a dream that you and I were killed in an car accident. We both went to heaven immediately and we looked up and there on the very top of a mountain were the pearly gates. As we started up the mountain I grew tired and you took hold of my arm and pulled on me. Just before we reached the top I ran out of all energy. I just could not go any further. Being the fine Christian man that you are, you picked me up and put me on your shoulders and carried me right up to the pearly gate. Jesus was there and he said, " Brother Gene, welcome to Heaven. Come on in and bring your mule with you!"

Thank you all for your prayer support. We appreciate that very much. Our biggest need is for Bibles in both English and Tagalog and personal hygene items like bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, for the children here we work with. We also need prayer for God's provision for the funds to purcahse the property for the orphanage. You can see the pictures of the property and description on our ministry website: cliapm.org

Fellowship / What are you doing? / Philippines Ministry
|
on: April 20, 2007, 01:27:11 AM

My wife and I have a ministry here in the Philippines. We moved here from Wyoming last year. We work with some of the poorest people here. The average income of the people we work with is 200 pesos a day, that's equal to $4.00 US. We serve the Lord in 3 different cities currently but hope to expand that. One one of visions is to build an children's orphanage. We told the Lord as long as He uses us we will stay here. I have learned a long time ago that if you want to receive a blessing, you need to BE a blessing! Amen!

Welcome / About You! / Living by faith

I have been a Christian for 37 years now and it gets better every day. Last year I was told I had a eye disease that had made me legally blind and that it would result in total blindness any time. The cure: none. I became depressed and thought how could I be of any use to God. Later on a friend told me of the needs here in the Philippines and if I was willing God could use me. After much prayer and conviction by the Holy Spirit I decided to go. I have no regrets! The Bible tells us that it is for lack of vision that my people perish. Helen Keller was once asked if there was anything worse than being blind. Her response was," Oh yes, to have your eyesight but have no vision". My eyesight may be poor but my spiritual vision is 20/20. Amen! A word of encouragement to all, no matter what your limitations may be, God is bigger! When we are obedient to Jesus Christ and the written word of God, we will bless you and use you in ways you never dreamed possible. Phil:4:13 says, " I can do ALL through[ Christ which strengthen me". I really believe that the heartbeat of God is missions!! Please pray for us here in the Philippines and God bless all.b][/b]
