Hi Debp, Thank a lots for your response. I'm fine and have spend a wonderful Sunday in the present of the lord.Today I lead the people of God in praise & worship. In our church we sing in Creole our mother tongue,French communicate language , English official language & sometimes in Hindi, tamoul, telegou &Chinease language. Our God is the maker of all languages praise His name. Hope you are fine. HOW WONDERFUL IT IS,HOW PLEASANT, FOR GOD'S PEOPLETO LIVE IN HARMONY! IT IS LIKE THE PRECIOUS ANOINTING OIL RUNNING DOWN FROM AARON'S HEAD AND BEAR, DOWN TO THE COLLAR OF HIS ROBES. IT IS LIKE THE DEW ON MOUNT HERMON, FALLING ON THE HILL OF ZION. THAT IS WHERE THE LORD HAS PROMISED HIS BLESSING -LIFE THAT NEVER ENDS. PSALMS 133
God Bless you Sister May
Thanks, May, for telling about your worship service. That is nice that you are helping to lead in praise and worship. And yes, when there is harmony between believers that is very good. Some grow faster than others and we should all try to be patient with each other. I hope to get to Good Friday Service tomorrow. Our church has it from noon to 3 p.m. and you can come and go as you please. I like the service. A few pastors from area churches will speak and we also sing hymns, and have some soloists sing, too.

Depd, Thank for your reply, finally some one know my island, have you been to here? My dear friend, i pray that everything may go well with you and that you maybe in good health- as i know you are well in spirit.
No, May, I have not been to Mauritius. But I have been to several Asian countries when I was in the travel industry and it was quite interesting and educational, even from a Christian prospective. Gave me a love for those types of missions in countries where there is alot of idol worship and superstition. Thanks for your prayers. God bless you, too!

Hello Debp, I had forgotten about you being a moderator, but I'm glad to hear that you're doing good. I'm retired, so I like what I'm doing with my computer now, but I do remember years of deadlines and doing all kinds of work at home when I should have been off. I use it mainly for Bible Study since I've retired, and I can say positively that a computer is great for Bible Study. It's especially great for people with eyesight problems and other disabilities. I have the equivalent of a large Bible Study library on my computer, and I really don't know what I would do without it. I just wish that I had used better organization and indexing as I kept adding more and more materials. However, search functions on computers can overcome most poor organization and indexing. I am getting things better organized a little bit at a time, and I'm finding things I don't remember having. You won't search for something that you don't think you have. I haven't decided the exact methods I'm going to use yet, but I'm putting together a rough filing system that I plan to index with a database. In the meantime: KEEP LOOKING UP! Love In Christ, Tom 1 Thessalonians 4:14 NASB 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. That's so true, lots of good Bible study and commentaries, etc, on the internet. I especially like the old time Christian preacher/writers. Alot of wonderful insight that many young Christians might not be familiar with today.

Hello Debp, First, I agree completely. I've had a good time tonight concentrating on the things of GOD and trying to put the chaos of this world out of my mind. Second, we've missed you and hope that you're well. We know that many are having some hard times, and all we can do is pray. I give thanks that GOD loves to hear our prayers, and HE still does as HE pleases in Heaven and on earth. Love In Christ, Tom Hi Tom, thanks for your kind remarks. Actually since I'm a moderator at Cpals, that takes up most of my time (especially since I use the neighbor's computer). I have a love/hate relationship with the computer so try to limit my time on it. I used to have a job with very heavy deadline word processing so maybe that's why I do not like to spend alot of time on the computer.

Fellowship / Witnessing / Re: Walking as children of light

So true. People do watch Christians to see what they are really like. If our walk and talk add up to the same thing, it makes an impression on people. Not that we are doing that for our glory, but for the Lord's glory, and to be able to reach others for Christ.
Like Dwight Moody said, the world needs to see more people walking in the shoes of Christ.
People are more apt to open up and ask for prayers and talk with us about the Lord when they see we are true and loving Christians.

I had to leave a church 6 years ago that started to (and now totally) embraces the "gay" agenda. Had attended that church for 20 years and it always had Bible preaching pastors until this last pastor came.
The situation became so pro-gay under his "leadership" that I finally left and when he unexpectedly phoned me one day, I told him why I was leaving. I also told him it's a sin according to the Bible. He said the gays were like the lepers of Jesus' day!! Well, leporsy is a disease and extremely contagious....that's why they had to stay away from the regular people. There is no comparison between practicing homosexuality (a sin) and being a leper!!
Anyhow, I felt in my spirit and my mind that I had to make a total break from that church....hard after 20 years but necessary. You might have to do the same.
A final note: that pastor that allowed this to happen in that church. A few months ago he wrote everyone a letter that he is gay!! (He was married with adult kids.) If he would have had an affair with a woman, he would have been told that it was a sin. But because he says he is "gay", those church members voted to keep him as their pastor!!!
I'm glad I left and I got my mother to leave as well about a year after I left there.

There are a few, that don't sugar coat the Word. Most give what I call a Sunday school lesson for a sermon.
If you want, I will carry this conversion on by email Debp...... Let me know.
If you want, you can email me. Just put from Dreamweaver so I'll know it's not spam.

Yes, solar power is a wonderful idea in areas that get alot of sun. You might have to stay out of the mountains and go for the desert instead.
The reason I keep asking about the churches is that I have several families members in and around Show Low. Only one (a teenage girl) is a committed Christian and attending church.

Hello DreamWeaver, Brother Bob, if I understand correctly, your part of Arizona is pretty sparsely populated and inhabited primarily by rugged mountain folks. Am I right? If you want privacy, you just go home and have all the privacy you want. I understand there are times when sunlight has to be piped in, and I have no idea about electricity. Bluntly, it really sounds like my kind of place. Dreamweaver, what about churches? Are there many in Show Low?

Dreamweaver, just curious. How would you describe the "spiritual climate" in Show Low and surrounding area? Are there alot of good churches? Are there any Mormons there? I thought I read somewhere that area might have Mormons.

I really do like this area, but there are to many flat-landers coming up this time of year. They seem to think they can drive, like they do in Phoenix/Tucson. (And off the road they go..................)
Many years ago, when one of my uncles drove my mom and me to the Sedona or Payson area.....on the way home there was a bad accident in the countryside. The two lane road was backed up with cars for miles and we had to wait (not moving) for at least two hours!! I think a helicopter finally came in for the accident victims. Also, when we did start to move and traffic disappeared, it was so dark getting back to Phoenix. All we had to see by were our headlights....really something else for city folks. And, Grammyluv, I read that story in a book about Show Low my mom brought home. She visited our family there several years back; I have not been there yet.
