Ask yourself that for I quote from the Bible," Take the log out of your eye before you attempt to take the speck out of your brothers eye." I try my best to do according to His will. And I will be the first to say," No." But the subject of this forum is tattoos and if they are right, not if I am in sin or not, and I once again give you scripture Leviticus 19:28.

When the soldiers came looking for Jesus and asked who He was, Jesus replied," I am He." and the soldiers fell back. Laying on of hands is not a tool to 'slay people' in the Holy Spirit. The Bible does not shed light upon the subject of being slain in the Holy Spirit, but that does not mean that it doesn't happen. When St. John had his vivid visions, do you think he was running around trying to get other things done? I see John laying on his cave floor, being overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit. The Bible doesn't state that they were slain because that fact is irrelevant. What is relevant is that they had the visions and laying on of hands in used to heal people. So what if they get slain, look at the end result. Watch Benny Hinn and see how many people 'fall out' in one of his services and count the same ones to see if they get up healed or not. Chances are they will.

Leviticus 19:28. It is okay to have a tattoo if you are saved, but not to get 1 afterwards. There are several people in the congregation of the church I go to that have tattoos and they are good friends and people. But without talking to them about tattoos they would tell you themselves that they are wrong. It is true that God loves you anyway, but when you break one of His hundreds of commandments, you are in sin.

Theology / Apologetics / Re: More ministers say they have a direct line to God

Whats wrong with God speaking to You? In Revelation John says that the Lord showed him the things which were to come to pass through visions and spoke to Him in those visions. Maybe you don't think we have the same faith that it takes to hear from God? The Bible states that nearing the end times we will have the greatest outpouring of the Holy Sprit. You may still say that that doesn't mean we will hear from God. Then I turn in the Bible to Hebrews 13:8 and it says,"Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever." So if Jesus told those things to John and Jesus is the same forever, then we can safely say that Jesus will talk to, as the scriptures says,"Those who have a willing ear, let them hear."
