The atheists are angry, Christians are angry. To me that sounds like it just could be a good decision.
What personal liberties or freedoms have been lost ?

Have faith. I've posted a link of the oral arguments for the Texas case at fifthday should you care to read them. This case, at least to me, is the more interesting of the two.
I am not always happy with the court's decision, but generally think they make wise decisions.

Oral arguments were made on Wednesday, and yes, the court will make a decision in both cases. The question is what the decisions will be. No court would want to be labeled as the court that "outlawed the 10 Commandments", or something similar.
I'm of the opinion that the court is divided on the issue, and expect that a decision will be made in June. I expect affirmation of the lower court in both cases.

by Michael Crichton. A fast easy read with the plot centered on the case (or non-case) for global warming.
Anyone else read it ?

I didn't know and I missed it. I found a partial transcript for the Williams interview at the Fox news site : http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,141030,00.htmlWilliams' statements are not in good agreement with what I've read in some news articles, and I wonder whether it was just one parent who complained or many. I think it may be very hard indeed to prove discrimination. I couldn't find any transcript of the Newdow interview. I would have liked to read that too. Has anyone else found one ? Thanks and Peace ! I almost forgot, the worldnetdaily article had this to say :
In a season typified by lawsuits against manger scenes, crosses and even the words "Merry Christmas,"
I have never heard of anyone being sued for saying "Merry Christmas". Has anyone else ?
Peace
