for my parents.  They think they are saved and all that.  But they gamble and swears etc.  My family is messed up.  I would like to minister by giving my mom (an avid reader) a book about Christians who compromise their lives and live like they are part of the world.  Something that points to gambling, swearing, etc...

I need it asap.  thanks.

I am trying to defend the Christian concept of Trinity to an LDS person .  And I used this verse:

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Isa 9:6

to imply that Jesus was also called Father.

However, he is saying that "
Regardless of what the English translations say, Hebrew and Greek don't have capitalization. "

Now is this a true claim?
Was the original Greek/Hebrew Bible void of capitalizations?
Then, what is the point of the Bible using capital words in the middle of sentences(G for God or F for the word Father in Isaiah).

Where to find these: (neutral = non- christian, sectarian,secular..)

(1.) Neutral sources of christian religion about the accounts of how the Bible was compiled.
(2.) Neutral souces of the validity of the Bible as a HISTORICAL book, not mythical literature.
(3.) Neutral sources about the life of Jesus Christ and his resurrection, ascension etc.
(4.) Neutral souces of the true existence of the Berean Church other than what is accounted in the Book of Acts.

Why am I asking these questions?
Because I have a non-believing wife who wanted to know if christians have neutral historical basis of what they believe.  PLease don't bombard me with biblical passages because I know what is in the Bible.  I already told my wife that it will costs us or me 4+ years of studying the Jewish/Roman history etc etc that is not made or started by a chirstian group etc.
