1  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Terrible Question. on: August 16, 2003, 01:23:30 PM

Actually, any person with Jesus in their life abhors sin, although full of sin themselves because we are filled with the Spirit.
Yet, it is up to God to judge at the judgment seat of Christ.  Yes, I know we are to discern.  But, we are to carry a balance that is somber, following the opportunity when presented to use all faculties in which God has prepared, or built us up.
Example:
I knew two lesbians.  They had had every chance to see the truth, and did, but one chose one way, the other chose the other way.
2  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Terrible Question. on: August 16, 2003, 01:51:41 AM
Where is anybody's part in the solution of sin?
Prayer is the first step.
Who is talking to one who is lost, and the sins are manifested in a way where God may recieve glory from His almighty power?
Believers are the body of Christ, we all have opportunities.  Writing is one of them.  Witnessing in our walk is another.
I believe Symphony might be saying in a strong way that there is a sin that has manifested to a degree that there is a mournful situation.  And that some of us might have an opportunity to make a difference.  But there are so many mainifestations, and believe it or not there are many of His children, and an enormous amount of power in God.
I say pray that God gives us spiritual eyes and ears to know his will in our lives so that we can be open and ready for His use, for His glory, always walking in love.  Then Jesus can work through us.  Praise His Name Once Again!
In Christ, missyann250

1 John 1:5
And this is the message which we have heard from him, and announce to you, That God is LIght, and with him there is no darkness.
3  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE LORD on: August 16, 2003, 01:29:59 AM
John, in John10:16 I see no reference as to these sheep being in a wrong fold.  Where did you get wrongfold?
Nor do I see where it even refers to being saved the best they know how.  All I see in this scripture is that there are other sheep that Jesus has that he must lead, yet they aren't in the afore mentioned fold.  All the sheep are Jesus's so therefore they are christians.
Now I can see this inference in the beginning of chapter 10, but there is no indication to me that this is what he is talking about in verse 16.  Although, this is interesting.  Who knows, these may be certain people, like maybe the born again Jew,  who is  then called a christian (sheep).  Or something we may never know until we see him again, unless clarified for me better.
John 10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:  them also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there shall be one flock, one sheperd.
                      Huh?
Rev. reference is a good one for the false church, clearly. There are many false movements today that I watched develope.

There is one Lord, and one body of Christ.  These are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.  I believe there are no other Brethern in The Lord than these.  I think this was suppose to be a unification in fellowship to share the one joy on this earth that will stand forever.  I really am a stickler on false doctrine that has been brought into churches, but I truley don't know what is behind this but fellowship on teddybears behalf.   Smiley In Christ, missy
4  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:IT IS GOD'S WILL TO PROSPER YOU. on: August 16, 2003, 12:41:33 AM
In all scripture there is the faith and there is the work.  There always is God's will.  Who is to say why somebody ends up down the beaten path financially.  I could be standing in a food line on a certain day right beside someone who doesn't know about God's saving grace.  That could be the purpose of what we call busted.  I chose not to second guess God's will in that area.
I believe we are to prosper in God's building up and I believe we are to follow His commandments and principles.  The money and things that we receive are really not ours, they were given by God and can be taken.  Or we can give them also.  We could be the fool, or we could be rich in wisdom.
One time I didn't think of anything but giving two dollars of the three dollars I had left in life at church.  It was just faith that allowed me to not even think twice.  Later I thought it pretty cool because I didn't think about what do I do now without any money. Not me being cool, yet how the Lord moves us.
A month ago I heard a mother asking in the break room for gas money.  I was moved without thinking of the deed and gave her seven dollars for gas.  I didn't have much cash left in my pocket, very little in the bank, but the urgency realizing that everybody was shaking their heads the mere two seconds I heard her ask, I gave it.  Anyway, this is how I think we are to be built up in the Lord.  Not fearing, not worrying about anything unless of course our heart isn't right.  I if thought twice about giving, I would feel guilty.
God gave us the Word to enjoy and follow God's will by, and he did tell us to tithe for nothing, everything He says is true.  Yet he does initially look at our heart.  There are no works in our heart except that of the Lord Jesus.  That's why I have found that our obedience with a pure heart must occur rather than just follow a rule.  If you read, faith is given, along with every good attribute we think and do.  Works is a follow up and shouldn't just be done because it is a rule.  That would be a treacherous way to say God is expecting works for us to be Godly children.  There goes Jesus's works through us, there goes the cross.
God wants us to do right, but we still must trust him in order to be obedient.  Just like Abrahams heart showed first then he acted in obedience.
God wants our heart.  Give tithes, but in the right heart is what I live.  By the way, the scripture is cool and that is what I am going off too.  But I still don't know how to pull from the quotes you guys did.  Have a great evening, morning day, whatever may be the case!  In Christ, missy   Grin

Thanks blackeyedpeas.  I really needed that lesson, it was really bothering me that I couldn't figure it out!  And thank you for your appreciation, God just moves our heart, ya know.
I didn't save that, I don't think, but, I have something else to post on " am I going to heaven?"  Who doesn't though.lol Grin  But what I read was mighty and I think a little different in some from what I studied.

I'm ready for the day. I needed a little peace in the christian realm.  In Christ, missyann250

Yep blackeyed peas.  I found her walking home. It was at 11:30 in the morning. I took away phone, grounded her from any outside activities, and the internet most definately, her windows will be deleted tonight. I talked, and she listened with a look like she knew she was not going to get away with what she knew was wrong any longer.
I'm pretty sure God's hand is in this.  I've been using tough love and it just hasn't been working.  I didn't lose my job, thank the Lord for that, got two hours sleep and ready to go for the late shift.
Your words were great support when I read them blackeyedpeas, thanks.   :)God works through us you know, and that was like -see, her listening and this posts let's you know I'm here.  Although I know he is anyway.
Thanks for the prayers, we need them.  I want to thank eveybody for their prayers.  God protected my daughter in the night and brought her home to be on her way back to Him in her walk. He answered prayer, praise His Name!

In Christ, Missy
10  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Urgent Prayer needed on: August 14, 2003, 05:44:23 AM
Musiclover I share your frustrations, ridiculous red tape absurdity, but I will share something with you.
Having shared custody after a horrible offense, to which was proven an offense, oh, but, the court hearing was final.  It was stated that the two children,( from a previous marriage ), should be back with me as custodial parent immediately.  I had to wait for twelve years.  I finally got them back with no problem, twelve years later.

This will not happen to you.

I finally went to a Christian attorney after things were not going well, and my daughter told my brother what the life was like there.  The attorney, court reporter were christian.  We all prayed.

I prayed one thing every time I went to the courhouse for somehthing. But actually, it was only two hearings. That the Lord would open the Judges eyes to see the truth, and touch his heart.  But mainly I prayed that He would touch his heart.  Every single time it was amazing and the process took such a short time that my attorney was amazed.  The first hearing the father wasn't even there and the Judge kept shaking his head that he shouldn't be signing the temporary custody papers without the father there.  They aren't suppose to do that.  I will never forget the grin, and how the Judge kept shaking his head like he knew he shouldn't be signing the okay- like he couldn't help but do it!

Please don't worry for yourself's sake.  Try to keep remembering that how much you trust is how much the Lord can help you too, although, we know the Lord would only want what is right.  But, He loves us not to worry and leave it up to Him

Musiclover, Jesus has already been working on this by the sound of your movements and awareness of what is necessary.  I really want God to bless your heart with peace, and that you keep working on it diligently.  He will be with you, and I will pray for you.  It will be a continual prayer.  I won't forget.  God will protect your son.   Smiley

In Christ, missy

Thank you.

I just can't understand it.  My whole family, whom I encouraged on a regular basis, and they loved living for the Lord has stepped away.
I can only attribute it to the end times.
But, I do know this much, that all things work together for good as we look to God in all things through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This child used to witness to teenagers.  I just wish all the bretheren would pray and cry out to the Lord for this situation.
I have been moved to do this or that, and have prayed with her, and have talked with her.  She knows more than the average teenager.  Much deeper things about faith by living and  in dividing the word.  The attempts for counseling have proven not the right place for her.  Pastoral is not going to work out.  She will not open up to that.
Finding interests is what I have done, and that was a no go because where we live there is no source, or I can't find any because I am new here.
She is still gone and it's 4:15.  Safety? Wrong choices tonight?
The severity of what she is doing again is real when talked about, but like a lot of teenagers, they feel infallible, and we discussed this also.  I am more concerned for her safety now.  This is not right.  I am leaving this up to Jesus.  It's a real good spiritual battle because it's so extreme to what my child was before this last year.  To be very honest, I am very sad, mournful is the best word for it.  But, if I pray with the wisdom I have lived, it will bring joy, just thanking God for this because there will be His solution.
Thanks again, In Christ, Melissa

Broaden your mind ,underground, sounds like you've been creepin around so long underground that's all you can vision.  Try walking upright in the light of the Loid, Jesus Christ, then maybe you will be content enough to be positive and understand things in life.  You know, you really don't know where you are going after this life, but, if you did trust Jesus to be Lord of your life, you will know.  It will be so evident that it will be a miracle to you.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Then again, if you weren't slamming God's comfort in His assurances and teachings, and it just seems wierd that somebody would send a letter, disregard the above please.

John 1:4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Don't know where that line went, ha, as I wrote...Nice letter, I want to copy it.
13  Prayer / Prayer Requests / needed at this moment.. on: August 13, 2003, 10:33:50 PM

Little late logging on.  So happens, my daughter made a choice, heard consequences, didn't like it, threw a temper tantrum, then snuck away from the house.

This has been a problem since she began attending public school this year.  From the last year and a half, this child has experienced some pretty dissapointing things.  Explained in another post, can't remember, at a point of wondering what the Lord wants me to do this time.

I really don't know what to do.  I know that she has sooo much bitterness, and being single is not easy because I have to work half a week extra each week to make up for the second income needed to make ends meet.  So, getting the right help and where that she would work out with is not easay.

In the meantime, if you have a chance, would you please pray for her at this moment, and that she makes the right decisions to return, and what I should do because of not only her sake, but the legal aspect of it is enormous.  She also took my car keys so that was the topping on the cake!

Ah, well, before I do anything, I am going to pray.  Thanks if you have time.....Missy Sad

Wanna break a record for the forum?  I haven't been able to post for a while, but...

according to statistics, the most that has been on line this month is only at 20, all other months beat that.

Wednesday night, my time is central, at 9:00 might be a good time for a bunch of postin'.  Sound good to anyone, or everyone?      Missy
