hmm  thanks for that answer.
The justifiation that many museums use the CE/BCE dating system is questionable though as is the evolution theories being taught in our schools as if they are absolute truth.  

So thanks for all the information, it is great.

Could someone explain why some Chrisitans use CE and some use AD when referring to historical dates.
I hear that CE was common error and it is because the exact year of Jesus Birth is not 0 AD but actually about 6BC because of the changes made to the calendar used today.

But then asking a pastor friend about the use of CE and AD his comment was "Christians should not use CE" but didnot really explain why. Unfortunately it was a pastor who used the CE dating system anyway.
 So one says it is ok and one says it is not.
 Undecided

I'm confused. what do others think??
