Extraordinary Light
The darkness was overwhelming.
I knew I was out of place.
I sought freedom in the world
But always came up empty.
Where is that switch
So that I can see?
Where is my Savior
So that I can believe?
I felt the ground
And I felt the walls.
I can’t see a thing.
I know I will fall.
Consumed by my faults.
Not willing to admit.
Where is He? Who is He?
I really must quit.
Then, there it was.
What an extraordinary light!
One I’ve never seen before.
This must be my knight.
As I got closer
My weights began to fall.
In Him I believed, for he answered my call.
