1  Fellowship / Just For Women / Re:Is it wrong to wear pants? on: December 06, 2005, 09:27:36 PM
Thanks so much TalkerCat... and everyone else...that really helped alot =).
I realize that to God he looks past appearances and looks straight in the heart. I know God wants me to dress in a way that honors Him and reflects His glory. Wether I'm wearing a dress.. pants... t-shirt... or even a bunch of rags I know he still loves me for me, cause thats the way he created me =D.
Thanks everyone!
God Bless you all

In Deuteronomy 22:5 it says  "A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this."
Does that mean for crossdressers or does this mean that God doesn't want women to wear pants and only dresses or skirts? Are pants only man's clothing? I'm really confused about that scripture! Please help!
Should women only wear skirts?
Thanks =)
God Bless!

May the Lord hide you in the shadow of his wings! and cover you with his precious blood!
I will be keeping you in my prayers. I advise that you pray to the Lord to show you his perfect and clear path for your life, and that you seriously get into his word. He loves you and wants you to prosper. He will uphold you with His righteous hand, and he will not let your foot slip.
May you be blessed by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
No one whose hope is in the Lord will ever be put to shame (Psalm 25:3).  Cheesy

I love the devotional! It is true, today so many people are spending so much time beautifying themselves. Sometimes it can be hard not to get caught up in all of it. I just remind myself that Jesus made me the way I am and i don't have to change a thing cause he loves me the way I am!
5  Fellowship / Just For Women / Re:sewing clothing on: July 30, 2005, 05:27:09 PM
Hello! I am only 15 years old and I love to sew, I recently learned, at the beinning of the summer. Although I may not be your age or anything... I still struggle with the same problem. Alot of pants and dresses or skirts are too revealing and immodest. Shirts are too low cut... pants too tight... you name it. I recently started to realize how young women my age dress. And sometimes its so sad! most wear pants... sometimes too tight, and barely skirts. I mean its nice when a young woman or any woman of that matter dresses in a nice (modest) skirt or dress. Thats why I have started to make many tops and pants for myself, and im beginning on a simple lavender dress for church or nice occasion. its alot of fun! I love to sew very much. I think its awesome someone else shares the same hobby/passion as me!
May the Lord Bless you and make his face shine upon you! Smiley
6  Theology / Debate / Re:Why did he "create" homosexuality? on: June 15, 2005, 01:35:24 AM
thats very true. God did not make it as a gene or anything like that. What my friend meant was why are those things here on earth if God didn't create it. I do not practice or believe in homosexuality. I believe it is another trap that Satan trys to get us caught in. Gods perfect law was for a man and a woman to be united as one, adam and eve not "adam and steve". lol
But of course satan hates God's perfect law and his will, so he corrupts it and messes it up, he makes us believe that a man and a man or woman and a woman is ok- when really, its not.
7  Entertainment / Movies / Re:Episode III - Star Wars on: June 13, 2005, 02:26:00 AM
For me this Star wars movie topped all the other ones. It was full of alot more emotion, or so i thought. In a way i thought it portrayed that evil was powerful- even more powerful than the "light" side. Now i put sort of a biblical point to it and it seemed almost like Satan was more powerful than God.
(Just a thought)
Does anyone else think that too??
8  Theology / Debate / Why did he "create" homosexuality? on: June 09, 2005, 11:37:52 PM
If a close friend of yours, who was not a christian asked you this question:
"If God is the creator of everything in the universe, and God supposedly did not create homosexuality, then why did he make men and men or women and women attracted to each other?"
What would you say?

One of my friends asked me a question very similar to this, and after much thought I came up with my own answers, I would love to know anyone else's answers too.
Thanks! Smiley
9  Fellowship / Just For Women / Re:Teen Marriage on: June 05, 2005, 05:35:12 PM
yea i totally believe that too... you gotta be mature enough to really decide if this person is for you, you can't all go based on feelings, cause i know myself and many other people my age that go based on their feelings and not what is really the best for them in the long run...
Thanks for the advice!  Smiley
10  Fellowship / Just For Women / Teen Marriage on: June 02, 2005, 12:11:12 AM
Hello everyone! Grin I just found this forum and it looks awesome. well anyways... I have a question about marriage, even thought I'm not quite yet the legal age to be married.
How young is it to be married? I mean is it weird or wrong to be married say, fresh out of high school?
I mean if the couple are true christians and believe in the Lord with all their heart, and they believe that God is calling them to get married ASAP, is that ok?
My mom tells me that I have to go to college and all before even thinking about getting married, but what if I find someone and I believe that its God's will for me to wed at that time?
I know it is all in God's hands and all in his will, but i really would like to know some other christian women's opinions.
Please help!
Thanks!
