You never know. Last Jan 1, I made the same resolution for the 4th year in a row to lose weight. No one expected me to go though with it and I did not until June. Then I started a diet and began to seek God to help me. Dec 1, I weighed 39 pounds less and was walking 2 miles a day. With me walking with a cane that is alot of walking and it took an hour to do it. But I feel so much better physicaly and emotionaly. So, don't give up on your relatives. We just came back from a month in Houston with our daughter where I gained 5 miles so I started back on my diet and am walking again. Today I was only able to do .65 miles because it was raining and it affected my arthritic legs but I am determined to build back up to 2 miles. betty betty

I believe it was talking about women who try to be men. In those days women only wore dresses, but things are different today. In many ways pants are more modist then dresses. I wear pants because I walk with a cane and my legs and feet swell, which makes wearing hosery very uncomfortable. betty

being 53 years of age, I have sat under many sermons on this. Most of the time the Preacher, makes it sound like if the wife was submissive enough the marriage would be great. But last year, our Pastor here in Washington said the problem was more the men. That if the men would love their wives like Jesus loved the Church, the majority of women would have no problem submitting to her husband. Too often men see their position as ruler over the wives and totally ignore the loving them as Jesus loved the Church. Jesus died for the Church, so would He be for a husband verbally and physically abusing his wife? I don't think so. When something comes up my husband and I discuss it together. He likes having someone give their thougths so he can make a decision seeing more than his side. Does he always make the right decision and by this I don't mean mine, ? no. there have been times, I will tel him, I have a bad feeling abut something but he did it anyway and sure nough, it was a bad idea. But, we are a couple and we go through the bad and the good ideas together. I am wrong myself many times. But we work together as a couple sharing the good and the bad. He does not seem himself as my boss. But, when a decision has to be made, and we both don't agree, then I do my best to be a good wife and let him decide. God is working on me on this part.

So sad to give up so close to the finish line, for I do believe that Jesus is coming back very soon and our race is almost over. Please go back and fall on your knees and ask Jesus to forgive you and once again come and live in your heart. It is not to late to once again began your walk with Christ. betty

Hubby had to take an early retirment from working on the railroad because of an on the job injury. When you take an early retirment there is no health benefits. So we have no insurance. I am thankful that he can go to the Va but he is discouraged because he is had these problems for over a year and the doctor says it will get better once they do they surgery. So it is fustrating the waitinig part. You being disabled from your service to the Country, is I am sure even more fustrating for you. I admire you very much for the sacrifice you made for your Country. I will say a special pray for you. betty

I think the President and the Republicans only care about rich people. I think the Democrats only care about rich liberals. Praise God, because God cares about all people.
My husband is on a waiting list ( so far 4 months)at the Va for surgery because the President has cut funding to the VA. We go to a clinic an hour and a half away, because in our town the funding was cut so badly at the Va that my husband is below 250 names on the waiting list. When my husband served our Country, he was told the country would look out for him. Now that has been forgotten Our President refuses to raise taxes because it will upset the rich, but instead will delay much needed funds to pay for medication for the elderly. Too many people think because someone is Republican that they must be a Christian, but I think we will be surprised when we get to Heaven how many Republicans had abortions secretly and only put on the appearance of being a Christian to get elected. betty
