POLICE HUMOR-- WYOMING HIGHWAY PATROL - GOTTA LOVE 'EMIN
IN MOST OF THE NORTHERN STATES, THERE IS A POLICY OF CHECKING ON ANY STALLED VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE TEMPERATURES DROP IN THE SINGLE DIGITS OR BELOW. ONE MORNING IN MARCH 2004 ABOUT 3 A.M. A WYOMING PATROL OFFICER RESPONDED TO A CALL OF A CAR OFF THE SHOULDER ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CITY OF CASPER. THE OFFICER LOCATED THE CAR, WITH THE ENGINE STILL RUNNING, STUCK IN THE DEEP SNOW ALONG SIDE THE HIGHWAY. PULLING IN BEHIND IT WITH HIS EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON, THE OFFICER WALKED TO THE DRIVER'S DOOR TO FIND AN OLDER MAN PASSED OUT BEHIND THE WHEEL AND A NEAR EMPTY BOTTLE OF VODKA IN THE SEAT BESIDE HIM.
THE OFFICER TAPPED ON THE WINDOW AND THE DRIVER WOKE UP, SEEING THE ROTATING LIGHTS IN HIS REAR VIEW MIRROR AND THE STATE POLICEMAN STANDING NEXT TO HIS CAR, THE MAN PANICKED. HE JERKED THE GEARSHIFT INTO DRIVE AND HIT THE GAS. THE CAR'S SPEEDOMETER WAS SHOWING 20-30-40 THEN 50 MPH BUT IT WAS STILL STUCK IN THE SNOW.
THE PATROLMAN, HAVING A SENSE OF HUMOR, BEGAN RUNNING IN PLACE NEXT TO THE SPEEDING, BUT STILL STATIONARY CAR. THE DRIVER WAS TOTALLY FREAKED THINKING THE OFFICER WAS ACTUALLY KEEPING UP WITH HIM. THIS GOES ON FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS WHEN THE PATROLMAN YELLED AT THE MAN ORDERING HIM TO "PULL OVER!" THIS MAN OBEYED AND TURNED HIS WHEEL AND STOPPED THE ENGINE. ONCE OUT OF THE CAR THE DRUNKEN DRIVER ASKED ABOUT THE PATROLMAN'S SPECIAL TRAINING AND JUST HOW CAN HE POSSIBLE RUN 50 MPH.
THE MAN, FROM CASPER, WAS ARRESTED STILL BELIEVING THAT A STATE PATROLMAN HAD OUTRUN HIS CAR.

i got this email and wanted to share it with you all http://www.pocketpower.org/Dear Mr. Richard: May I share an encouraging story with you about one of our most faithful League members? After brain tumor surgery in 1990, Fred C. Snavely of Lititz, Pennsylvania was given six months to live. However, Fred fought bravely for fifteen years before he went home to be with the Lord at age 50 on March 15, 2006. His obituary said he was "very active in The Pocket Testament League." That’s an understatement, as you'll see in a moment. Since joining the League, Fred ordered Gospels 52 times. He shared literally thousands of Gospels of John with the people he met. Fred even shared a Gospel of John with the ambulance driver when he was coming home from brain surgery that left him paralyzed. One of his favorite things was to go in his wheelchair to the local coffee shop near his home and to Lititz Spring Park where he would pray and share Gospels. Many people at Fred's memorial service told his family about the time Fred had given them a Gospel and how much that meant to them. Only the Lord knows how many souls have already come into the Kingdom through Fred's personal testimony, prayers and obedience to share the truth of the Gospel whenever he had an opportunity. Wouldn't you like to leave a legacy like Fred's through the example of your own life? Be sure you always have a supply of Gospels on hand so you can Read, Carry and Share the Good News of Jesus Christ. To order free Gospels of John, please click on the link below . http://www.pocketpower.org/code/products.php?group=Gospels Fred is a wonderful example of someone who believed God’s promise in John 14:21: “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." What may have felt like an act of obedience at first turned into a pure labor of love. We praise the Lord for Fred, his courage, endurance and the way he finished strong. We can thank God that Fred finished his race -- and represented the League, and His Lord -- so well. Surely, the Lord welcomed him home with a hearty, "Well done, Fred, my good and faithful servant!" In Him, Mike Brickley President PS: I'm sure many have joined the League and started sharing Gospels at Fred's suggestion. That means Fred's influence for the Kingdom will continue on for years to come. Why not encourage some of your Christian friends to join the League today so they can Read, Carry and Share God's Word ? .

This is not a hoax, the story has been on the news.................. Please forward as appropriate. Thanks, Coach's Cousin is Missing Hi everyone, Please forward this to everyone in your club. For those of you that do not know me, my name is Dale Schilly. I am the coaching director for Metro United Soccer Club located in Southern Illinois. I am also on the Region 2 ODP staff; I typically take the youngest age group for a couple of years and then cycle back down. I have a relative that has gone missing, I know this a long shot but I need to do everything I can to help my cousin. My cousin Tina and her husband Mike live in St. Genevieve, MO. and they have three children. Their oldest, Wade, has been missing since Saturday morning at 4:00 am. Wade is 17 years old, a great kid, a good son to his parents and a good person in his church and community. I have spent the last two days in the woods searching and in a truck hoping. There has been not a trace of him or his car. I am sending this to you for two reasons, Please pray for his safe return. There is power in prayer and more power with numbers, our family can use your prayers. Please look at this link. It has Wade’s picture and a picture of the car he was driving that night. Please keep a copy of the flyer in your vehicle, license plate number is on the flyer as is the Sheriff’s phone number. As you are driving please keep an eye out for the Nissan Stanza with Missouri plates. http://www.sgcsd.com....html The night Wade disappeared he was wearing a red T-Shirt, blue jeans and green and white skateboard tennis shoes. At this stage the authorities feel he either left on his own or was forced to leave. Considering he and his family have a very close relationship and the whole family were to leave on a cruise Friday, leaving on his own is EXTREMELY unlikely. Please just get this out to those in your club or on your email list and have them get the word out and carry a flyer and keep their eyes peeled. As much as we drive and as money soccer people that are out there maybe we can find something. I am working on getting him on America’s Most Wanted and Nancy Grace, if anyone in your soccer world can help me get this out nationally, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for anything you can do and helping get this word out to all that you may know. Dale Schilly Program Director Metro United Soccer Thank you, we appreciate your support...
