Okay, I recently picked up a book called Wild at Heart by John Elderidge. It is amazing, and it rings true for me in a lot of ways. Anyway, to guys figuring out how to be real guys, and for women wanting to take a peek inside the masculine soul, I highly recommned this book.

Fellowship / For Men Only / Re:Role modeling

Jesus reminds us that as disciples of Himself, we are to be role-models to the world. The difference in us due to our Christian walk should reflect Jesus as the light of the world. We want people to know that we are different and that the church has been entrusted with something that they need, wherever they are in their lives. I am reminded of St. Francis of Assisi who said: "Preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary use words." The best way to have a postive influence in someone else's life is to model the love of Christ by the life we live. There is no better and genuine role-model than someone who has a sincere desire to be used by God and surrender to His will.

Fellowship / For Men Only / Re:Men Lessons.

Having been a Christian for just over two years now, I must say that I have learned a lot. However, God has been teaching me lately that everyone who has a younger brother has a duty to see him brought up right (especially if the parents don't know Jesus). Just going to my brother's sports games, asking him how his day went when he comes home from school, giving him a hug: all these are little ways to let him know you care. And that is invaluable, especially when you come to realize how much younger borthers look up to their older brothers. And there is no one else except another man to teach the young ones man lessons and show him what it really means to be a guy.
