1  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:How to pray with spouse? on: August 28, 2004, 05:34:40 PM
Hold hands and say the Lord's Prayer - or any other favorite prayer you may have, but you can never go wrong with the Lord's Prayer... Smiley

Oh yes...the thought of that - that- that - "man" - in the White House definitely makes me shiver and shudder.  There is definitely something wrong with that man and if he wins, kiss America as we know it good-bye, once and for all.  He'll destroy us - if the terrorists don't first.  You enjoy your freedom? Vote for GW!!!
3  Theology / Debate / Re:Who should we help? on: August 28, 2004, 05:29:57 PM
You forgot one response on there that IMHO would have been correct - we should help all our "neighbors" - friend, foe, enemy, family - it doesn't matter, and no one should be put into "first place".

Blessings.
4  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:Iraq War and the Bible on: August 28, 2004, 05:26:18 PM
I agree - it's not a good idea to keep your heads in the sand regarding war just because you "don't like it" - Soldier's don't like it, either you know.  No one in their right mind LIKES war, but it IS a fact of life, and it is important as a Christian to understand it - and previous wars if you want a true understanding of Biblical prophecy.  Don't be ignorant!!
5  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:HELL DISCOVERED! on: August 28, 2004, 05:22:58 PM
Yeah...things that make you go hmmmm...all right.  But it is interesting in a quirky sort of way. Can't deny they make it sound like hell all right!

Sometimes I think hell is right here on earth... Sad
6  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re:The Dreamworld IS The Kingdom Of Heaven. PAY ATTENTION to your dreams. on: August 28, 2004, 05:21:13 PM
I think I know what Matt's trying to say - and I wouldn't discredit him too much.  After all, God did talk to His people through dreams very often in the Bible.  I don't, by any stretch, think all my dreams are from God, but I think Matt is just saying if you remember a dream, assess it and see if you think there is a message there.

I had one dream after moving into an apartment with an orange stain on the bathroom floor that's supposedly going to be replaced.  The second night I slept in the apartment, I dreamt that someone was murdered in the unit and that's why the orange stain is there  Shocked- now I don't think that dream came from God...I think that dream came from a mystery I has just been reading!  So one needs to use common sense, too.
7  Welcome / About You! / Re:Somethings about me... on: August 28, 2004, 05:17:10 PM
Welcome ReJoice!!  And always remember, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthen's me" - sounds like you've had a difficult "hit" in life already, but remember your dad is in such a wonderful place, and one day you will join him again. Meanwhile he still lives on in you - live to God' glory and your dad's, and you'll be just fine! Blessings.

Hello Orion!  You choose a great place - I, too have a disability and forums like this are, literally, a Godsend. People tend  - well, most of them anyway! - to be very friendly and non-judgemental.  I'm sure you'll love it here! Looking forward to your input!
9  Welcome / About You! / Re:Hello again on: August 28, 2004, 05:13:39 PM
Welcome back - I came back after a while, too and missed it a lot - looking forward to seeing you around!!  Cheesy
10  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:being made fun of for being a christian on: August 25, 2004, 10:51:39 AM
Gosh, I'm 45 and have been dealing with this my entire life.  Why, I remember back in high school, on saturday night, I said I had to leave a party because I wanted to make the early service at church the next morning.  one of the gals looked at me totally incredulous and said, "YOU GO TO CHURCH?Huh"  Like I was some kind of nutcase or leper or something.  I said, "you bet I do, have a problem with that?" (trying to talk her language).  She just looked at me funny...and that's just one occurance, but one of the first that really sticks in my brain.

Get used to it - it's part of being Christain, but I think the negativity is more from ignorance and you really have to feel sorry for those who are so ignorant regarding faith.  We know our lives will never end - what have they got hope for after death? I shudder to think about it.  Just be kind, be a good witness to your faith and always remember there will be some that will persist in their negativity and there is nothing more you can do for them but add them to your prayers.

Sorry..got on a roll, didn't I!
11  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:...furnish bibles to persecuted Christians / FREE on: August 25, 2004, 10:46:22 AM
This is awesome - thanks for the heads  up and kudo's to all who are already helping! I'll do my best to spread the word as much as possible, too! Cheesy
12  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re:the journey on: August 25, 2004, 10:43:45 AM
Yes, this is so very true...but my biggest problem is my human side that still frets and gets all worked up and nervous to the point of feeling ill - when I know I should simply "let go and let God"...trusing in Him that all will work according to His will, as I ask for in all my prayers.

if only I could be less human!!!!   Roll Eyes
