1  Fellowship / For Men Only / Re:A WISE WALK FOR HUSBANDS on: August 20, 2004, 02:18:39 PM
I think that was a really good statement concerning men and marriage, and dealing with leadership within the household.  I am not married, and Im not even on that road, but it is good to prepare beforehand.
2  Welcome / About You! / a lil bout me on: August 20, 2004, 10:21:50 AM
Well, I was born n raised in Georgia, I have 1 brother and a mom n dad.  I really like here, its home for me, but I dont think its within the Lords will for me to stay here.  I think He wants me to get out into the world...I dont know how long or where, but I know thats His will.  I attended Christian schools a long time, and became a Christian when I was 6...or 5...but I know I wasnt 7.  Anyway, I first really started walking with God May of my Sr year in HS...interesting story, but I've always wanted to hear His voice.  I was laying in bed, and I heard it.  It was saying "How come you never come to talk to Me?"  So I got up then and there and started up normal quiet times with the Lord.  I wish I could say that it's been that way since, but its easy to get caught up in everything else.  Anyway, a nifty quote to let ya'll finish reading this...

"The men that will change the colleges and seminaries here represented are the men that will spend the most time alone with God…It takes time for the fires to burn. It takes time for God to draw near and for us to know that He is there. It takes time to assimilate His truth. You ask me, How much time? I do not know. I know it means time enough to forget time.” - John R. Mott
