I completely agree with bern, Though sad to say, Christian music alot of times is just an imatation of a cecullar band, Many times not doing it well. I think part of the probelm is the mentallity (I want to make a christian band that sounds like Incubus but with christian lyrics) while it should be (I want to make a christian band and have it contain a certain atribute (ex: The drumming style) of Incubus)
This allows for not only an orginal sound, but it also doesnt restrict your band. At least thats the reason why i think alot of christian bands fail, they try to be to much like another secullar band

Exactly, because the point of a christian band is to worship and get gods name out, You can never put a price on somone coming to christ. Thats why i think that Christian bands dont complain about thier music bieng downloaded

Whoa aweosme does your band have a website (fyi our band is almost completely formed, but with school and since were all in sports band etc, i doubt well get good practice together until summer) (also being freshmen and 8th graders doesnt really make us expierenced, our thinking is that by the time were  sienors or so, well have it down) and if yawl want your name to get out there, or get some gigs, ill show you who you might wanna contact, or what you can do. Although i dont know them, i cant decide if they fell away from god, or weren't christian in the first place! I can't ever think of my band forgeting our christian values to sell more records. I just hope that they turn back, and start doing what switchfoot is doing (not a major fan of thier music BUT love how thier taking thier popularity and usuing it to tell people about christ.)

O well......

I got cable and the only thing that is kind of a christian station is a "music choice" chanell (which is the radio with album art)

Although i think thats a great idea (and by the way the creator of MTV was a preacher's son) From a business point of view it probally wont ever happen             there arent enough people willing to watch a christian music station for it to be profitable!

I think that more likely we could get a tv SHOW on some network.

I love thier old stuff

but thier new stuff is so radicaly different!!!!

it seems everytime they get a larger recrod deal, the christian values (that used to be so prominatly shown) are pushed aside!

I understand that bands get pressured into making some stuff they may not be really what they want, but i think that they should forget about the money and go back to a purly Christian band. After all it's God who gave them everything they have.

They are a indie christian band, and i personally think they are doing what god wants them to do, because they are pretty sucessful! (they have only been together a couple of months and already have a recrod deal)
