Asaph,
Awesome post. Should anyone ever question such a matter and desire to be in the center of his world...I will be certain to send them digging into the pages of his word. What better place to start then right smack in the middle! Once again great post!

Thomas,

Theology / Debate / Re:Has your faith been challenged?
|

Luke O,
Indeed as of last year my faith was in question with an agnostic friend of mine. It appeared as though there was no way to always answer him for time and time again he would stump me with a question or two, that I wish I had only found the answers sooner so that way I might share with him the knowledge I have today.
My faith is still being tested as I do feel every Christian's faith is being so every day. For every day there is not one believer out there who does not have to decide whether or not he/she is going to sin. God Bless.

Theology / Debate / Re:sin and repentance

Forgiveness is indeed something granted, but we all should try to put an end to our sinful ways. Though many would say it is sometimes more easily said than done. I agree with many of the comments made here. Through Christ we all are forgiven, but to continue living in sin and making the excuse that Jesus forgives us and using it as a sheild when wrong is done is wrong itself.

Theology / Debate / Re:Domestic Violence Against Men in America
|

BlackmanX,
This is a rather disturbing topic, am glad you brought it to my attention. I agree fully with MisguidedAngel, law enforcement has lost much of its value that it once held within the past, however there are still some good officers out there.
Yet, I am going to have to agree with you that in most situations it looks like the man is the only one to blame and that is not necessarily true. Though God may have made a man to be the protector and the woman as the nurturer over time it appears many of us have forgotten this, and tend to do as we please. Anger is something that leads to many a man as well as a woman's own downfall. We all need to consider that domestic violence is not a one sided coin. For just as the coin as two sides so does this situation.
For women are being highly underestimated if not completely overlooked. For women are not always the victim here. The same could be said of rape as well as molestation and very many other situations.
Once again thank you for posting on this matter.
With Love In Christ,
Danielle

Theology / Debate / Re:Who should we help?

JitC,
Unfortunately I am going to have to disagree with you in regards to our enemies and aiding them. For did Jesus not come to save the lost, not the found? I am not trying to question your beliefs, so please do forgive me if that is how it sounds. I am merely trying to understand where you are coming from on this.
The ones out there who truly need God the most are not brothers and sisters in Christ, but those who have yet to come to know him in their hearts. Are we not supposed to love our enemies? In loving them would it be wrong to share God's word with them?
Anyone have some thoughts on this?
With Love In Christ,
Danielle

Keep praying BlackmanX, God knows what is in your heart. Keep trying to help those less fortunate then you. One day God shall deliver us from this world. A world with none of the problems from this one. Indeed pray, for the days have grown very dark and man has indeed become more vengeful towards God. There is much within our world today that God needs part in, but unfortunately not too many of us out there truly remain nor pray. If only we would all look to him would we find the truth. Keep praying, as said before...we need it! With Love In Christ, Danielle

Yoyostick,
Once again your words are kind. Seeing as this is not the style of poetry which you would prefer to read, your comments mean all the more to me. Thank you once again.

Yoyostick,
Thank you for your comments on this piece. Glad to know that I was sending out the message in a proper fashion for it is a question that only God himself if not Christ himself can answer.

Wrote this piece earlier this month and thought I would share this. Not many understand the meanning to the question found within the title and many assume I am asking who He was as in the name...but is that truly the message I am trying to portray within this piece? Only God knows Who was He Flesh of men Wisdom; awe of unknown Revealed so blind might see Who was He Blood would stain his hands and feet Cries echo in dead of night Heavens torn in two Who was He Prince of Peace Way, truth, and light King of all Kings Who was He

Evangelist,
Thank you for your reply on my question about this topic. For I do desire to serve the Lord the best that I can. Church has been a challenge for me, but seeing those verses may have brought me some light to better clear my vision. I will pray about this. Thank you once again.

CHURCH-GOING
By Cornelius R. Stam
There is an important passage on church-going in He- brews 10:23-25:
"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering.... And let us consider one another, to provoke unto love and to good works; not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is... "
Brother, Isn't the issue more about church 'choosing'? How does one choose the 'right' church? Which practices in a particular church can one overlook? Do we have to be in 100% agreement? So how does one choose...do I church-hop until I find the right one? That dosen't appear to be be practical or spiritually helpful....Is there a future in home-churches? This is an trial I am facing as well. For many years in my life my family has gone church hoping due to a problem or two that they found within the church. Well, seeing as I am a young adult now, the decision as to which church I go to is my own to make. There is one problem with this...how do I know which church is right for me? As of the beginning of this month I ceased going to the church I had been attending due to two factors. 1. The preacher was leaving 2. The congregation was becoming divided on account of this action. There is not a church out there that is perfect, I am well aware, but how does one know when the right message is being sent out? How does one know it is the right church for them? I was hesitant to leave this church for it was where I received my calling but not long after...everything there fell apart and nothing sat write when it came to that church anymore. Since then I have been taking time out on Sunday mornings to go out with my fiance somewhere where the two of us can be alone, and the two of us engage in our own private bible study. Once again I ask....how do you know when you have found the right church? Was it wrong for me to leave the one I was at due to the feelings I had? With Love In Christ, Danielle

Prayer / General Discussion / Re:how to pray question
|
on: August 12, 2004, 12:31:27 AM

That is an interesting question. Within the New Testament Jesus teaches us how to pray and this is what he tells us to say:
"Our Father, who art in Heaven How will be thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in Heaven Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our tresspasses As we forgive those who tresspass against us Lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil For thine is the kingdom, power and glory forever Amen"
God loves to hear us call upon him whether it be a time of praise or repentance, or even just the ask for his hand upon our lives if not upon others. I am not sure about the praying to Jesus bit. To me that would almost be liking commiting Idoltry. God Bless.

Danielle
