1  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Thought For Today on: July 12, 2004, 01:29:33 AM
I hope i age like these guys. I got it in my email from a catholic group.

on the birthday of my presidium, maria regina angelorum, we visit a
house for old people last sunday.  there were 8 ladies we're
meeting, and 3 are in a sad condition because of stroke. we had so
much fun, praying rosary together, had lunch together, singing and
telling stories.  being with them made me think real hard about what
is life actually.  i mean, you cant have the body, the look, the
strength, the ablities that you have now forever. one day you will
become old weak and can't even walk.  is that scary? what is
catholic belief in why are we here in this world?  it is for glorify
and serve God.  and back to the old women, yet they still have the
spirit of life.  so why are we, the youngters sometimes in life,
feel of giving up and losing the faith?  God is with us all the
way.  1 word to share, remember, I will keep you and carry you until
the day that your hair turning white..'  let's all call our
grandmas, grandpas, parents, and old relatives today telling them
how much we love them. peace be with you all loved ones..
2  Theology / Debate / Re:Is choosing Jesus a "work"? on: July 11, 2004, 04:49:25 PM
Ditto. NOt much to say on the subject really.
I think the confusion is coming from verses taken out of context, what those are i have no idea. If someone knows or has an idea maybe they can post them and we can have a better sence of were this confusion is coming from and we can hopefully sort it out.

This post is a bunch of bunk.  We are all here as Brothers and Sisters in Christ, regardless of our background.

hi emt

I took a secular class called the Bible as Literature. I will give the interpretation from that class.

70 ad refers to the destruction of the temple and jerusalem. Their thinking is this: Other times that jerusalem or the jews were conquered God would send someone to reistate them and since Jesus said that he was cmoing back; for them it would be logical to make the assumption that Jesus would come back to reinstare the jerusalem and the jews after the romans destroyed jerusalem and the temple. This is based on OT scripture were the jews were conquered and then God would send someone to restate them.

Although i don't agree with this i do see the logic behind.

i said it before and i will say it again SCAARYYYY!!!  She needs prayers and whole lot of them.

His Chikd Thank you for the info you posted about the hinn and the others

Hi
Before you up grade to 98se or xp. Make sure you have the processor power and memory to run xp. I would install win pro 2000. A list of programs that you have would help to determine what OS to to install.

Also for us who are on dial up and get disconnected and lose downloads i recommed: Fresh Downloads. It's a free dwonload manager that when us on dial up get disconnected you can resume where you left of. You can get it at www.majorgeeks.com  They have tons of shareware and freeware to download.  Most web sites will let you down load where you left of, some won't.

I also have ME.  The worst thing that this OS has it's a resource cache that open up and allocated resources as soon as you start your PC and it doesn't matter if you turn them off after the pc is started.  One thing that i did was to configure my pc so that certain programs do not turn on when start my pc. Then i have more resources to use. IF i do need a program to start i simply click on the icon for that program to start.

hi emt

Wow that is scary!!!!! I can't remember the verses of hand maybe you will. If i'm not mistaking the Bible says to test the spirit or spirits and to test our teachers.
11  Theology / General Theology / Re:Time managment on: July 08, 2004, 01:14:13 PM
hi Matt

ONe thing that i did when i was in college was to tape the lecture and write down notes. Later i would listen to the tape and read the notes and put it all together.

His Child

Of course not but we can't make personal decisitions for others. All we can do is share, witness, pray and Love them as Neighbors, brothers and sisters, because God made all human kind.

Hi matt

If you are refering to this forum then cut it out.lol  Nothing  replaces Bible study.

If it's something else can you say what it is?
14  Theology / General Theology / Re:Name it & Claim it! on: July 08, 2004, 11:43:04 AM
His Child

What i'm saying is that one can only push the subject so far and then one will start to push the person away. It doesn't mean to give up. Also if you are talking about convertion is not a person that converts but the Holy Spirit that does it.  It may work through us and it may not. Just as we are open to the Spirit working in and through us we also have to accept that it may choose not to work through us but through someone else, events, and /or scripture to convert a person.

HI child

Personally I see nothing wrong with it. Just have to remember to do it in a loving way.  I'm notsure exactly what they teach but i would say to treat them as a brother and sister in Christ who has gone astray.  Be patient,be kind.

I think that you can find plenty of examples of what not to do in this forum and you can also find examples of people that have agreed to disagreed peacefully and respectfully.
