Theology / Debate / Re:Why did he "create" homosexuality?

Nobody is born homosexual and nobody is created that way. We all have free will and all can be tricked by satan. God does not create someone to do something he dispises.

Theology / Debate / Re:Is contraception against the will of God
|
on: June 21, 2005, 11:41:36 AM

"The bible says nothing about contraception"....BECAUSE THERE WAS NONE!!!! My main problem with contraception is that it does not stop the egg from being fertalized by sperm (conception...which is LIFE) all it does is stop the fertilized egg from implanting in the womb. Might as well be taking the abortion pill in my opinion. I do agree that the Lord gives you what you can handle and that you have to trust Him on that. Do I always do that..no. Does anyone always fully trust him? I had a tubal done, and I regret it to this day, but we had 3 children which WE felt was enough for our family, and our son has a bleeding disorder called Hemophilia that runs in my family and we didnt want to risk having another child with the genetic disorder...as its very expensive for medical treatment and hard to get a hemophiliac insured. But I do wish I had just stopped, put my faith in GOD on it...if I had more children then God wanted me to, if they had hemophilia...well God will help me to handle it. I firmly believe that, these days, contraception is pretty much telling unmarried people to go ahead and have sex and not worry about pregnancy being a consequence...seems like a tool of the devil to me. My husband has gone through this! He cant move at all, except it is a black faceless figure standing over him. My husband tries to move or swing at him and simply can not move or talk. Then the guy vanishes. This has happened to him twice. Also happened to a friend of his, the EXACT same thing with one exception...the figure kept repeating "The fire is comming....the fire is comming" over and over. I dont know what this is, I only know it is terrifying. Where are you guys getting the "take joy" bit from?

I dont have scriptual reference to cover the face.... it is a personal opinion of mine that if women covered their faces and bodies they would not be vain and would not tempt men.

You know what really upsets me? How come her husband still had guardianship over her??? HE LOST THAT RIGHT THE MOMENT HE COMMITTED ADULTRY WITH HIS LOVER!!! Why didnt the courts see that? Why was it not brought up??? Because the United States Of America is on a fast track to hell... people dont care anymore. Im just so upset by all of this. We have more respect for a dog, its illegal to starve a dog to death...but apparently its not illegal to starve an innocent woman. Dawn

Well, to be honest we are not suppose to be vain. And it says in the bible (1st Corinth. ) that women should not dress like men and men should not dress like women. It is an abomination unto the Lord. Most take that to mean that men wear britches/pants (britches are mentioned in the bible I think 4 times and always in reference to men) so that would mean that women are not suppose to wear pants. Our alternative would be dresses or skirts. I dont see in the bible where it states that it has to be so many inches above the ankles, or anything about sleeves... but we all know that a miniskirt is not modest, skimpy tanks are not modest, anything low cut or too tight ect ect ect. We can make excuses all day long as to why our own clothing is modest...but really should pray for conviction to understand what God does not want us wearing. Dawn

Very well put Silver... I just didnt have the right words The reason I dont think women should vote is, well...women tend to have different issues than men and polititions will target women to get their votes and sorry to say but some women are just gullible. They will vote for any man who talks about their equal rights, special rights ect. and turn a blind eye when he has bad morals. Im not saying women are stupid..by any means but Eve WAS the gullible one! I think men should vote, and should take into consideration their wife's opinions and advice on the matter when doing so. Its sad, if so many women had not been taken advantage of by men, I dont think women would feel they need so much "freedom" and "equality" these days. Dawn Dawn

Well as a Christian woman Im going to get some glares from the women when I say that I dont believe women should have been given the right to vote, I dont believe we should have high roles in the church, and in fact our main job is to be helpmates to our husbands (if notmarried, then be some sort of missionary ect.) to obey and love our husbands and raise our children to be christians. I believe MEN should be the ones to vote. If a husband is obeying the bible, he will ask his wife's opinion and advice but in the end the decision is the mans job with no bickering or griping from wifey poo. The same goes with the church.... I see no reason why women can't be teachers of bible studies, at least to other women. But when it comes to the head of the church (meaning the pastor) I simply think it should be a man and was intended to be that way. Sure, I think it would be wonderful if all women covered their heads and faces...there sure would be a lot less men sinning and commiting adultery in their hearts. I am not saying that women are less than men in God's eyes, but I think that if women would do THEIR roles and leave the men to theirs, then the men would be able to fully do their roles without women and our "equal rights" being in their way. sorry lol Dawn

Oh my...I have never been fond of the guy, but I never knew he said all THAT. He converses with the DEAD??? And nobody has said anything about that? It is against necromancers in the bible...
I read one of his first books, back before Id ever seen him on TV. It was a WONDERFUL book. But then I saw him on TV and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up... something odd about him. But as a Christian I can not say weather he is really in the Holy Spirit or not. I do not know. But if its true that he speaks to the dead...my suspicions are right.

I just copied this off of their web site: "We ask only that you promote the freedom of religion and do that which is right. It is up to the individual to determine what is right as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others and is within the law. That is as close to the Golden Rule as one can come."
Do you know that is pretty much what the satanic bible states? YOU (instead of God) determine what is right as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others....its in the satanic bible. How sad...people are going to be tricked into going to this church that has tolerance for all sins.

Not my skin brother! NOTHING, no government regulated tattoos, no little chips, not for any reason will be on or in my skin. They can lop my head off if they want to, I wont give in. Its scary... people have their cars wired so that people can find them instantly if they are in trouble, dog already have this identification chip...that makes it easier for humans to accept it in their own skin later on. Money is on a little card now, you dont need cash anymore. You just swipe it and go.

Theology / General Theology / Re:Birth Control?
|

My honest opinion on this....
Well it says something in the bible about God rather having Man's seed go to a whore than onto the ground, doesnt it??? Can someone find that scripture or know the one Im talking about? So that means that life is VERY valuable to God, even the seed that has not yet fertilized in woman.
I got my tubes tied after having our 3rd child, because we didnt feel we could afford another child and my son has a genetic bleeding disorder and there was a 50% chance that if our next child was a boy he would have it too, and its very expensive to take care of and hard to get insurance. But the whole way to the hospital to get it done, I had such an uneasy feeling about it...I really feel like God doesnt like birthcontrol. Yes, in part I believe you should graciously accept any child God would give to you, and lean on your faith in Him to know that He will provide. On the other hand, I also believe that if you dont want more children you shouldnt be having sex..married or not. But thats just me.
