1  Welcome / About You! / Re:Hello From Illinois on: May 29, 2004, 04:52:19 PM
Oh I often-times say, "I should have been a Nana first".  What a wonderful role we play in our grandbaby's lifes!

I've had the wonderful opportunity of having mine live with me for most of their lives.  When they moved out whew what a time I had dealing with that change.

I see so much sadness in the world today.  Much could be lessened if only people would realise their happiness and salvation can only be achieved through one step... accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior... as our only means to an eternal life.

Often, I ask myself how do people survive from day to day without Christ living in them.  Such a wonderful gift that so many refuse to see and so lovingly and freely offered.

Quote
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Divorce on: May 28, 2004, 10:29:02 PM
Oh my, I have struggled with this issue in the past... and again presently contemplating a divorce...

My first marriage... 26 1/2 years.  (emotionally and physically abusive relationship.)  I tried very hard to make things work.  I stayed as long as I did because of my strong moral values and my beliefs...  If it were not for my love and belief in God I could not have survived the ordeal.

I am newly married since January 3, 2004... When I said my vows I meant every word... However, when the person you marry is not the person they portrayed themselves  to be... are we to endure this deceit???  I am in such turmoil over this issue again.

Adultery can include more than physically being with another partner.  I personally believe that pornography is a form of adultery.  Perhaps, my views on this issue is clouded by my own personal views... I really don't know.  I am at such a loss.  I need some holy advice myself on this issue.

What is God's Will for me?HuhHuhHuh
3  Welcome / About You! / Re:Hello From Illinois on: May 28, 2004, 03:09:34 PM
Thank you both for your warm welcomes.

Sorry was such a short intro ... but I was preoccupied with 2 of my beloved grand babies.

I am a Nana of 4 beautiful blessings.  Alyssa (5) Nicholas (3) Adrianna and Breanna (2).  They are my pride and joy.

I am presently depressed and seeking some indepth answers.  I am seeking God's Will for me in my life and His purpose for me.

4  Welcome / About You! / Hello From Illinois on: May 28, 2004, 12:43:36 AM
Hello Everyone!

My name is Deborah and I live in Illinois.

I found this bulletin board while searching the web for Christian sites.  I thought I would come in and introduce myself.
