JN I just read your testimony for the first time, too. It gave me goosebumps all over. WOW Oh how He loves you JN. You are so precious in His sight. Clearing my throat um um, considering the picture you posted, you're precious in CU's sight too . cris Too often it takes tragedy to bring us to the brokenness that makes us reach up to God. It takes great courage to share a testimony so personal and I thank you for being willing to put yourself out there in such a loving way. You ARE precious in His sight and in ours. I am so glad I found your testimony and your friendship at CU.

Prayer / Prayer Requests / in need of your prayers

Hello everyone. As I said in the About You forum, I have a new website called WindWords. After much soul searching for ways to improve my witness and because I feel the urgency of the "times" and the need for us to reach as many unsaved souls as we can..I built the new site. If it reaches one lost soul then I will blessed beyond measure. I need the prayers and support of everyone here at CU and I ask for those prayers in humility and with a grateful heart. I am also in need of prayer for a specific health issue not related to my rheumatoid arthritis. I am in need of courage to face this new problem and physical power to allow me to work through this on a day to day basis. Please pray for me. Love to you all in Christ Jesus, archangel

(Joh 14:27) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
(Joh 14:28) Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.
(Joh 14:29) And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe.

Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Lots of Questions

Ya see, even when we do pray as we think we ought...it's generally lacking! But the Spirit intercedes on our behalf, takes the prayers we offer and molds them with words beyond us to make them acceptable and even pleasant to our Father. So don't get so discouraged. If you are praying from a right heart, the Spirit is making that prayer..."work together for (your) good." A big amen to this statement and another thing is to try to "be still" when we pray. Try to tune out and focus inward by just getting quiet and remember that God knows our hearts. He'll hear you.

Urban Unfitters has lost one more customer plus everyone I can show this disgusting piece of garbage to at least those that understand any form of decency. This goes way beyond doing anything to make a dollar and it is unfortunate that they will probably benefit in some sick way from having lots of people check this out.

JudgeNot says: "That is just what our Lord Jesus Christ wants from us: Surrender. No if’s, and’s or but(t)’s – just unconditional surrender, or suffer the punishment."I say AMEN.

Theology / General Theology / Re:Does This Matter?

I am talking about Bible versions. I have had a run in with a few unofficial members of the KJV Only cult, and am asking the average Christian here, does it matter what version of the Holy Bible you use? My Preacher and 99.9% of the congregation of my Church does not mind at all that I use the NAB.
I think perhaps the King James version is sometimes hard to read when you are new to the faith and are trying to learn to study the bible, but I don't consider those who prefer that version to be members of a cult. As for myself, I also prefer to compare several versions when studying but find the King James with Strong's numbers an essential starting point. For quick reading, for a dose of comfort, encouragement, etc. I usually pick up my New International Version. Most important to me, I always pray for understanding and help from the Holy Spirit before reading. By the way BEP is right...e-sword is really nice and I enjoy using it to create study notes.

I'm scared, but I'm ready for whatever Jesus has for me.Tom, I am truly sorry to hear that you are having to face these tests and know firsthand how scary it can be. You are much loved here and I join the others in lifting prayers to our Father on your behalf. Thanks to you, I found this forum and e-sword and have really been blessed. I have no doubt that you are in the hollow of His hand and that He will keep You there. As for me I will keep you in my heart and prayers along with my sisters and brothers in Christ.

Praying for you 12Stone, physical pain can really work against us in many ways. I pray for your physical pain to abate and for the emotional burden of dealing with that pain to subside. May God lift you up and carrying you above the pain and frustration and may your move be safe and a step up in your life. God Bless.
