Hi Raie. I'm super new too. I've had the great good blessing to meet a woman online who lives in New Zealand of all places (I'm in the northeast USA) and we talk everyday about lots of things. God surely put us together because we just have the best report when talking about Jesus and we also pray for each other, it can give you so much to see a beautiful prayer on the screen that comes from someone who's really pulling for you. I've seen one or two other people from the UK posting here. I'm always interested in where people are from so I pay extra-close attention. It's so nice to meet you!

Hi Broken! Thanks so much for your suggestions. I just asked him if he would want one, if he liked gold, silver..etc. He said the metal didn't matter (great kid) and that he would like it to be small and wear it under his shirt. We're a very very conservative family when it comes to dress. My kids have never followed the trends of other children. This is one of many areas that I am blessed beyond what I could have thought possible. To see children in clothing that makes them so vulnerable makes me want to cry. I love that my children let me protect them, and this is one way I can.
I used to think every christian wore crosses (before I found the Lord) and was afraid to wear them. I would have been punished. I wonder if this is the reason why I can't wear any jewelry at all...the association.
I hope this post is understandable, it's the first one this morning and I think I need more coffee!

Ok, this may sound odd, but I have a Jesus action figure on my window sill above my bed. He has moveable arms which are always raised towards Heaven. I love this figure. However, I do believe it was being sold as a ...well..not joke, I refuse to believe that, but I don't think it was being marketed towards people who love Christ. I don't like that way that sounds but it's the only way to explain it. I bought it at Urban Outfitters.
I've bought my son several crosses and he always breaks the chains that they're on. I'm going to wait until he's a little older to give him his next one, he just turned 12. I myself cannot wear jewelry, it's very uncomfortable. If I could I'd wear a small cross around my neck.

Hi and thanks so much for the welcomes. I'll read around and find a good place to start. I appreciate so much people trying to help, talk about being grateful for a blessing.
Last night was the first night in ages that I didn't pray before going to sleep, I need to go and do that now, I like to give thanks throughout the day but need to speak to Jesus in a real convo if you will once or twice a day..every day.
I'll come back soon and meet all of you...I'm really looking forward to it.
GG.

Hi! I'm new ..have been an christian for a little more than 2 years. I have some questions regarding family. I was raised by 2 very angry athiests and still feel very very uncomfortable about a lot of things associated with my faith. Can someone direct me to the correct forum to post about this subject?
Nice to be here and can't wait to meet you all!
