1  Entertainment / Movies / Re:"The Passion" (Mel Gibson) on: February 18, 2004, 09:32:11 PM
wow.  I totally agree with Tigerlily.  I feel as if I watched the movie.  Granted, come next Wed, I will be one of many who stands in line to see this powerful movie.  I am so looking forward to it.  I am hoping it will make me the Christian that I need to be.   Wink
2  Entertainment / Television / Re:PRIMETIME 2/5/04-May I vent?!! on: February 07, 2004, 11:36:13 PM
I totally agree with you.  It just isn't right.  Last week, bored at work, I opened the latest issue of Glamour and found an article on two women, complete with pictures, on their wedding day.  I was so upset and closed the magazine and vowed never to read it again.  It is like the media is totally going agaisnt anything moral.  Even driving around town here, I see lesbians coming out of the wood work.  You know, I don't want to bash any one for the way they live, or the choices they make in life, but if they believe it to be okay....then why do they hide?
3  Fellowship / Just For Women / Re:Where is everyone from? on: February 07, 2004, 11:25:44 PM
do I read this correctly???  I'm the only one from Sunny California?Huh  Well, right now it is quite foggy, but still pretty! Wink
4  Prayer / General Discussion / animals having souls? on: January 30, 2004, 06:49:56 PM
Hi!  My husband and I constantly argue over this.  I don't think the bible talks muchor even at all about animal souls, but do you think our beloved pets will go to Heaven too? Smiley
5  Fellowship / What are you doing? / Jesus in conversations on: January 30, 2004, 06:43:06 PM
Hey all!  I am so excited to have found you all.  K, Here it goes.  When talking with someone and they are telling you the problems in their life and as you listen, all you can think is, "wow, this person needs to find the Lord!", how do you present that to a person, when asked for your opinion?

I have had a couple of women talk with me, then ask for my opinion on what they should do and I'll tell them to pray or to research their problem in the bible.  Their response to me is always......a rolling of their eyes or a, "yeah, whatever".   UGH!!!!  People that like frustrate me.  I think the lord sends them all to me too!    I have even talked about what Jesus has done for me and it's like I'm talking to brick walls.  So any info on this would be great!   Thanks!!! Smiley
6  Prayer / General Discussion / Re:Type of Music on: January 30, 2004, 06:24:45 PM
Okay, I am going to defend Christian music of today.  I was listening to country when our radio station would play the same songs over and over and over.   Sad  So, I turned it to the local Christian station just to see if there was something I liked.  Now that is all I listen to.  Not every song, but some really speak to me.  If I am down, a song will come on and remind me that there is someone out there that exactly knows how I feel.  I have never had music talk to me the way this music does.  I love it! Grin

8  Welcome / About You! / Re:Hi everyone!! on: January 29, 2004, 12:55:21 PM
Welcome Nancy!

Hey my nails are weak and break and tare hehe

Reba, you need lots of calcium, biotin, and lots of fruits and veggies.  That should help with the breaking nails.  Oh, don't forget lots of cuticle oil too! Grin

Thanks you guys for replying.  You already have given me good introductions!  Hopefully, today at work, I'll get to use some and then I will tell you how it went!
9  Welcome / About You! / Hi everyone!! on: January 28, 2004, 10:56:37 PM
I am so happy I found this site!!!  I belong to other forums but nothing as enlightning as this one!  Well, I am a nail technician in CA., and doing people's nails you hear soooo many stories.  Both good and bad.   A lot of people know that, they are missing something in their life but don't quite know what it is.  That is where I like to step in and talk about our Savior, Jesus Christ!

But, there are times....I'm at a loss of words.  How do I bring him up and have my client want to listen?  So, that is why I'm here.  To learn how to talk about Christ and what he's done in my life.  I think I can bring a lot of people to Him.  So, with you're guy's help....I think we all can do this!   Grin  Truthfully, IM SO EXCITED I FOUND YOU GUYS!!!!  I think this is what I really needed!  Well thanks in advance!!!
