3  Fellowship / You name it!! / PRAY! exciting news!!! on: August 18, 2004, 08:41:35 AM
My husband and I have worked very hard for 27 years , to accomplish the things we dreamed of...our home, at last a NEW vehicle and most of the other goodies. Just basic stuff, no pool, no diamonds! And now....just maybe...I will be able to retire from working fulltime, and become a fulltime artist and writer!!! I have longed for this since I was 18! I do quite well selling some artwork, but, have no time to do it. I TRULY believe it is God's Gift to me, to share with the world! I feel a great urgency, and don't want to wait any longer. I have lost the sight in one eye, years ago, from Glaucoma...the other is holding quite well with medication. Please pray I am truly knowing His will! In my heart, I feel I do!
Each painting I sell, goes with a Bible verse, for they are His! I do them in Praise of His Creation!
Thanks all,
Cathe

Thanks Tom!
Jim has written to the main office for the chain, and sent photocopies of the tech report and his sales slip, so, we'll see!

I just got a copy of SP2 on a CD at work. I was told by our "tech" to make sure to run ALL maintenance programs first, delete cookies and temp files before installing. She also warns that some OLD programs may not work with this update. All my stuff is new, however.
so~~ we'll see!

6  Prayer / Prayer Requests / husband in Punta Gorda on: August 17, 2004, 08:13:03 AM
My husband is in Punta Gorda, which is about 200 miles, or so, from us. He drives a charter bus, and has taken FP&L workers ( Florida Power and Light) there to help restore power. He also volunteered to use his bus for transport of supplies and personnel for at least 7 days.
We just made an online donation to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. They , and the Salvation Army, took great care of us when we lost our home, and all we owned in a flood in 1978.
Pray for all of those affected by this terrible hurricane.

Good morning!
My Dell is working GREAT! We have installed SP2 at work, and all seems just fine. I do have lots of security on my new PC, Norton, firewall, and I scan all my attachments with Yahoo and Norton. I have never gotten a virus or worm. My husband, however, bought a laptop at Office Depot and it had a virus already on it, we later learned it had been used in the store! It had to be taken to a tech-repair guy who found lots of Office Depot files on it!! Office Depot did nothing!

9  Fellowship / You name it!! / my "Catch -22" on: May 07, 2004, 10:46:34 AM
I am sooooo sorry I have not been intouch with many of you in quite a few weeks. We are still working on refinancing our home, and getting me ID so that I can get on a plane to see my mother in N.Y.  the only "hold-up" is my Florida photo ID card. I needed to get another Birth Cert., as the one I have is from the hospital and they don't accept that. Then I needed to get my marriage lic., current and past. In order to obtain these copies I needed a STATE PHOTO ID CARD! I needed to FAX a copy of what I was trying to get, in order to get what I needed to get it!!!!
CRAZY!!!!
I have spent $175.00 so far in overnight mail, phone calls and faxes...and nothing is here yet! I am just about to give up! The marriage lic. (current) and birth cert. was supposed to be here yesterday afternoon by 3:00 PM...NOPE!
It is so frustrating! I understand the need for security, but, I was born in America, never been arrested, pay my taxes...and yet...I do not exist! I cannot get a DL because of my poor vision!
I am in a real "Catch-22".
praying for some good news today!

I think we will be okay!
We are paying off a van loan at 9%, and 3 credit cards at 19%...our refinance is at 5.2%! We only used the cards to finance some home repairs, and they are all done. We plan to keep building up our savings, and it should be good!!!

Thanks,

11  Fellowship / You name it!! / refinancing/ubgone31! on: April 16, 2004, 02:16:18 PM
I have been soooo stressed,
trying to refinance and pay off all our existing debt!
The deal is our new payment would be only $50 more than it is now! And we would be debt free ( except for the mortgage)
We were very worried about an appraisal! Well, we owe $54,000 on the house and the appraisal was $155,000!!! We are not getting a loan for near that amount!
So, all looks good! I may be a SAHA soon! I made that one up...it's "Stay At Home Artist" Grin
I am praying that if it is God's will , it will happen. It has been a lot of running for me, since Jim is away a lot! But, it will be well worth it!!!

Have a great weekend
all!!!

14  Fellowship / You name it!! / appraisal stress!!!! on: March 16, 2004, 08:30:52 AM
Dear friends,
I have been tied up in knots for 2 weeks now. We are trying to refinance and pay off some bills! We need to have an appraisal done, and I am worried. With my husbands' long hours, and few days off, several inside jobs remain partly finished! There's a couple pieces of paneling yet to be put up in our laundry room, some plaster ceiling work 1/2 done etc~~~ Please let me know if any of you have been through this...
Prayers appreciated!

The kid was actually a 5 year old who wore a wizard hat and did REALLY bad magic tricks for us at the library! He tried really hard, and we all tried NOT to laugh! He pulled a stuffed bunny out of the hat, and it's eyes fell off! He was just SOOOO cute!
