Have you heard GOD talking to you?I was at a church service one time long ago and i seen a very young boy who was in a wheel chair, something was telling me to go to him to touch him to talk to him, being the shy person iam i did not.Though this feeling stayed persistent i denied it.I know now what was happening, and i geuss i knew then.Everytime i think of that i feel awful, did i turn GOD away?by not listening?

Very well put BEP you always have something good to say that makes sense to me!Thank you!You know the more ive read and studied, this is what is on my heart.Water Baptism is a symbol of our faith, and our acceptense of Jesus Christ. The best is still to come, when the Holy Spirit fills us!This is the greatest!

Thats interesting ive never paid attention to that. The one i alwyas remember is this:

**ANd Jabez called on the GOD of Israel saying,"Oh,that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me,and that You would keep me from evil, that i may not cause pain."**

I really like that last part"that i may not cause pain"See Jabez got his name because he was bore in pain.

exsurt-From the Devotional

"I remember the evening my son David asked me for a blessing. Our Family was sitting in our living room talking quietly.I had just noticed that David, who was twenty-three at the time, hadnt said much for awhile. Then he spoke up."Dad,I want to ask you a qeustion. Will you bless me?"
His mom and sister stared at him.So did I.His request seemed to drop out of the blue.
      "David,you know i do bless you,"I said.
"No,Dad.I want you to really bless me."Then he stood up,walked to the armchair where i was seated, and knelt in front of me.Then he waited, head bowed, without even looking up.
Do you know what flooded through my heart at that moment?
I felt a tremendous desire to bestowon him every possible good thing! Here was my own child waiting at my feet, telling me by word and action that what he wanted most was what only i,his father, could give him.

***forgive my typeing i had to read it from my book***

Therefore, water baptism is not an act of salvation, but an act of obedience. Can we agree?
178  Theology / General Theology / Re:Is Water Baptism needed for Salvation? The Bible says no. on: October 18, 2003, 03:13:18 PM

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

—James 1:22
So we should ignore this?
