Title: Twins
Post by: Soldier4Christ on December 16, 2005, 03:02:56 PM
I have been at the hospital all day today.

My daughter-in-law (youngest son) is in the hospital starting into labor already. She is only 28 weeks and the babies are only 2 lbs 3 ozs right now. They stopped the labor before it went to far and are planning to keep her in the hospital for at least the next week. She was a whole whopping 95 lbs when she got pregnant and doesn't weigh much more now (maybe 125??). Her size, first pregnancy and plus there being twins has her in high risk so it is hard to tell what will happen.

Please pray for the well-being of the mother and twins.

PR,

You and your daughter-in-law and family are in my prayers, also.  I prayed immediately after reading your post.

Father, in the name of Your son Jesus Christ, send Your Holy Spirit to comfort all of them.  Send Your angels to them, Father, to protect and guide them.  Give Your wisdom to this woman's doctors, Father God.  Touch her and her babies right now Lord God, all in the name of Your son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Grace and peace,
cris

PS...............95 to 125 lbs. is fairly normal.  That's a weight gain of 30 lbs. total.  She should be ok on this front.  Even years ago, Docs never wanted a woman to gain more than that.

Thank you all for your prayers. The contractions have stopped so far. They are going to keep her in the hospital until at least Tuesday, in bed and off her feet. It may be longer depending on how she is doing. If she does get to go home it will be bed rest, no stair climbing, etc.

I've been praying PR, I know what you're going thru, my daughter is a high risk pregnancy she is scheduled to have a c-section on 01-10-06. She has been put on complete bed rest she has been losing amniotic fluid, and had to be put on a heart monitor for over night because of a heart murmur.
It's really stressfull so please take care of yourself too.
I will continue to pray, God is good, everything will be fine.

We just heard from our son at the hospital. The contractions had stopped but they got her up to take a shower and they started up again but they are very mild and spaced out quite a bit. Both babies are in the correct position for birth which is very unusual for twins. Usually one is in the breach position and requires a c section. They have been giving her steroids that strengthens the babies lungs as a precautionary treatment just in case she does go into full labor.

They still have her on a medication that stops the contractions but it doesn't seem to be working to well. They can't increase it anymore than what they are already giving her as it is already causing chest pains, a bad side affect of the medicine.

We are all keeping a close eye on her by taking turns in staying with her. Naturally my son is there the most but one of us (my wife and I or her mother) is there while he is at work.

Yes Cris I am taking it easy. My wife insures that. She made me lay down in a reclining chair in the waiting room while we were up there and sends me to my room when we get home.

Your continued prayers are most welcomed. They moved her into a private room during the night. They are concerned about the chest pains and now she has an infection somewhere but they are not sure where this infection is localized at.

Oh PR, I'm sorry to hear that. I know she's not happy about that. How does she feel otherwise? How is your son holding up? Are these her first babies? How are you and the Mrs holding up? I am still praying

She doesn't know this yet. The Dr told her mother this and she didn't want her more upset than she is so asked that she not be told just yet.

Yes, these are her first children. My son seems to be holding up pretty well. He only gets upset when he has to leave her to go to work. Fortunately he has today and tomorrow off. My wife and I are doing fine. We both are getting plenty of rest right now so we can be there later.

Thank you all for the prayers.

False alarm. I won't go into details of why or what here on the forum but it was not contractions. It isn't over yet though. She has been taken off of the magnesium sulfate so it is possible the contractions may return soon.

Heavenly Father,

I set myself in agreement with my brothers and sisters that the babies be delivered healthy, the mother of the babies maintains good health, and the father and grandparents maintain good health also.

I come against all demonic powers in the name of Jesus of Nazaraeth, and command you to cease any manuevers against Pastor Roger, his wife, his son and daughter-in-law, and the unborn twins of his son. I particularly command you to take your hands off the mother of the unborn twins, and the twins themselves, so that their health is no longer threatened.

Father restore the mother to health and remove the infection caused by our enemy. Guide the doctors and nurses Father, and make sure they don't screw it up.

In the name of Jesus.

Amen.

Father, Creator of all things, You know each and every single cell, nerve, and all the intricate little details of life, because You are the one who created it, You are the maker. Father, I thank You that You are capable of taking care of PR's daughter-in-law-, and her babies. I am asking of You Father in the Name of Jesus, to restore health to this young mom to be and her babies, I ask that You place Your angels all around her. Father, I ask that You guide the hands, eyes, and minds of all the doctors and nurses attending to PR's daughter in law. I know Father that You watch over Your Word to perform it and Your Word tells me that if I ask anything of You in the Name of Jesus, I shall have it. Therefore Father I know that mom will deliver her twins at the time You set and they will be healthy and she will be healthy and strong, for Your praise and glory. In Jesus' Name. Amen

My prayer is that the doctors are all wrong, and she will not continue to suffer contractions, but that God, Who is the Creator and knows all things is in control of her and the babies' health. And she will continue to carry her babes wihout anymore stress. That the babies will be healthy, and grow to be a living testimony for our Lord and Savior.

A baby girl was born at 7:15 central time at 5 lbs 9 ozs. The baby boy was born at 9:10. Both a natural birth. The boy hasn't been weighed as of yet. He had a bit too much fluid in his lungs so they ruched him into an oxygen tent. The Dr assures us that he will be alright though and that it is normal for this to happen. Both babies were born witha rash on their faces. We will know more what this is about tomorrow. The Dr said there are a number of things that could cause it most of these things are nothing to be concerned about but they are not taking chances.

Please pray for them that it is nothing of concern.

Brother Roger, I just had to tell you again. I've been thinking about how happy I would be for my daughter to have twins, especially a boy and a girl.

I will be a grandpa again in about 8 months, but we obviously don't know much yet. I have kidded her about 4 or 5, and she didn't think that was very funny. BUT, I really think that they would be happy to have twins. They want a little girl real bad to take control of the two boys.  :D  My wife and I will simply be happy to have a healthy baby or babies. Brother, I will pray for their continued health and that God will watch over them.

Love In Christ,
Tom

2 Corinthians 5:5-8 NASB  Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord -- for we walk by faith, not by sight -- we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
