Title: Have you ever met one of those?
Post by: walkinthelight on September 15, 2005, 05:26:36 PM
Hello, I gotta question for you.
I work with a fellow that was raised in the World Wide Church of God. He has turned so bitter it's unbelievable. He says that he doesn't believe in my God and he gives many reasons. This guy has done his homework, we were discussing today about God's miracles while leading the children of Israel out of Egypt, he was saying that basically it was erosion that caused red clay to fall into the Nile, that caused it to look like blood, that caused the frogs.... you get the point. Thankfully God brought to my remembrance that the vessels of water also turned to blood so that stopped that one.
He is in a state of almost constant questioning, and it's always pointed at the only professing Christian in the building ME!
Any ideas? He's highly intelligent, well versed in what he doesn't believe and he's persistent! Thanks,
                                                   Jason

From your viewpoint of saying that he is bitter, I would say that he is pretty hard hearted. The best witness is in the life you lead, show him the love of God through your life especially towards him no matter how bitter an attitude that he may have towards you. Other than that and prayer for him it will be up to the Lord to soften his heart.

:-\  I forgot to mention... we also ride to work together! Lol, I've only known him for a few months but boy oh boy!
I don't want to make it sound like he's the devil incarnate, he's actually one of the few people that I can have a real conversation with (although sometimes the tongue ring is distractin! :( ), he's just lost as lost can be and doesn't want found. I guess it's convenient that he wasn't taught that there is an eternal hell, so even if he chose to believe he doesn't think anything will happen to him.
