I think that faith based music is great! Anything with a message of any positive kind, is a good thing. My family doesn't mind listening to it, as long as it is positive in nature. I don't think it belongs in churches, but we were allowed to listen to it in our headphones one week.

I don't see anything wrong with Christian Rock as long as it is understandable and gives glory to God.  However, I figure if I can't understand what the words to the song or get any message out it it at all, then I can't say I'd consider it Christian Rock.  For me, I'd rather not hear it in church.  However, I tend to be more old fashioned to what is brought into church, because I was raised on hymns. To some of the more modern churches it may be fine.  The Bible does say make a joyful noise unto the Lord.  It does not say a beautiful noise, but if the music is glorifying to God, I do not find it wrong.

I think God uses all forms of music to reach people. Personally, I don't care much for Christian rock, but I know many like to listen to it.
My son-in-law was saved and joined a Christian rock band. They give a good testimony to what Jesus means in their lives.

i love christian rock and metal. i use it as a great tool when i feel an enemy presence around me, and it works. ive heard alot of people talk trash about it and judge our fellow christian bretheren who play it. but of course we all know (or should know) that we shouldnt do that. i have been feeling the need to start a metal worship band and God has told me how to do it so when the time comes im sure ill either be a touring band or ill have a worship center that plays metal music. the way i see things is metal music is a great tool to use when doing spiritual battle with satans forces. ill just plug in my guitar and start commanding satans forces to leave my house and play as fast and as heavy as i can, and when i run out of strength God fills me back up!

Boy is this an old topic ~  however, I agree with Music4Him.  I don't want to hear it in my church but if the lyrics are praising God and the music is reaching the younger generation I say "Rock On"

Blessings~
