I praise you God, for you are so good. You know where I’ve been and where I am going. You know all my weakness; you’ve seen my unfaithfulness, Still, you continue to be my stronghold. Your love is unfailing; it is as dependable as the rising sun. When I lift up my hands to you in times of trouble, You reach down and give me the peace that I need. Yes, I praise you God, for you are good! So many times I have failed you, Each time you forgive me. You do not turn your face from me, Instead, you cry tears over my shortcomings. You call me to worship, because you love our time together. Sometimes, I ignore your feelings because I get too busy. You always wait patiently, never scorning me. Oh how I praise you God, for you are so good! There are the times I have taken you for granted, Knowing of the slackness in my promises to spend more time with you. But, when problems arise I run straight to you to fix them. Oh lord, sometimes to my shame I have forgotten to even thank you! Your arms are always open to me, and you listen to my cries. You never remind me of my broken promises. You take each need that I present to you and give me peace. Lord, you deserve my praise, for you are so good! I sing praises to you Lord, for you will never despise me. You never keep a list of any of my failings, but continue to bless me. You will take my inferior parts and make them into wondrous things. You will change me and show me the plans that you have for my life. Oh Lord, I will try to do better, I will remember my promises. I know that I will still make mistakes; I know you will forgive them. Show me Lord, when I need your correction; help me with my imperfections. Hear my entreaties, Lord, I will praise you like I should! I will sing praises with your people, to you almighty God. For all the times that you listened and cared when no one else did! I will cherish the moments you spoke to me; the peace that you gave. And, I will praise you with a grateful heart for your loving kindness. I will shout praises to my God who reigns on high, Hallelujah! He lives forever and ever!
