Title: What I do
Post by: RichkCt on November 24, 2004, 06:29:31 PM
I have built a website for Jesus. There is a section about me on there too. Mostly about Jesus.

http://www.angelfire.com/ct3/4him/index.html

I also bring up Jesus in conversations I have with people that dont believe. Or I will do my best to encourage believers who are going through tough times that Jesus is there for them and to have faith.

I witness to people all the time online. I havent had the opportunity to witness to anyone offline. If Jesus brings me someone I will be there.

In Christ

This is my first time on here.   :)  I have to learn my way around this site.  I'm not a good driver but----I'll do the best I can.

First I will say that I am 74 years young with a lot of experiences behind me; good and bad.  I have a lot to say about a lot of things.  And all that God has done for me.

I wish to reply to the one about the Catholics.  I was born and raised one until I was 30 years old.  We weren't allowed to read the Bible  The priest had to.  They were afraid we would see the truth and I did!  I was married expecting my fourth child at that time.  My husband had a big family Bible.

I opened it up to the scriptures: "Forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats"  (I Timothy 4:3a)
Priests and nuns weren't allowed to marry.  They said they were married to Jesus Christ.

We were commanded NOT to eat meat on Fridays and other certain days.  If we didn't obey we would go to hell.  On down the way I learned they had taken that rule away.  What about those who died and had eaten meat.  Will they stay in hell?

I thought if these two things were wrong, how many more that could be wrong.  Verses 1 & 2:now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."  These 2 verse apply to other false teachings as well.

I won't give my testimony, at this time, of that and other cults and false teaching that I had gotten into because I was never grounded in the truth.

What is my ministry?  It is writing on the web and warning people of such false doctrines and telling them how they can get out and stay out of the devil's traps by studying their Bible and living by it.  But they first have to believe on Jesus (not by works)and the Holy Spirit will help them along in their walk.

From there began my search for truth but often going in the wrong direction because I didn't know any better.  No one had any answers for me.  I traveled the wilderness road alone.
I learned everything the hard way.And am still learning.

Since 2002 when I got this computer, I have a good many articles and testimonies on several different sites.  God opened some doors for me and closed them again.  He keeps giving me more.

I hope I will be able to give these testimonies on here from time to time.  God is keeping me busy and I love it.

Your sister in Christ, livingbyfaith  God bless you.
