Title: Responsible spending
Post by: Tim Vaughan on October 26, 2004, 11:47:19 AM
The Bible does have much to say about debt, thrift etc... What are your ideas on this

The Bush administration intends to seek about $70 billion in emergency funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan early next year, pushing total war costs close to $225 billion since the invasion of Iraq early last year, Pentagon and congressional officials said yesterday.

Is it responsible to spend this much money in light of the fact that it has been shown that Iraq was never a threat to us, and that the Taliban and Bin Ladin were allowed to survive and even grow in numbers in Afganistan due to our activities in Iraq?

Bin ladan and his gang no longer poses a threat. More than likely Bin Ladan is probably dead.

Wars always cost money so that should never be a issue or a concern.

What should be a concern is terriost groups which good majority are tied to another terriost group setting foot in Israel and United States to seek our death. The thing is is Iraq is not the only country that houses terriost groups there all connected to eachother in some form or fashion every where when they did attack us on 9/11 and in future wars.

???  How much did 9-11 cost us - other than 3,000 plus innocent men, women, and children.

Fighting terrorists is a global endeavor, and it was nice of the terrorists to go to Iraq and make themselves available. We should oblige them wherever they go and pray they don't come here.
