Title: Hey Y'all
Post by: Philippians 4:13 on October 19, 2004, 04:36:35 AM
First off, I want to say thank you to the person or persons responsible for setting up these here forums. You guys are a blessing to all the Christians taking advantage of them.

My name is...surprise, Robert Smith. I am a 28 (29 on Oct. 28) year old man from Montana. I am married and have two wonderful boys. My oldest, Austin, is 9 and lives with his mother on the coast of Washington and my newest and youngest, Hunter, is twenty-one months old. They are two of God's most beautiful blessings in my life. My wife Brandie, and I have been married for about a year and a half. So as you can see from doing a little math, I haven't been walking the walk for very long.

I was saved in 2000 and was just on fire. I think I was so gung ho that I petered out for lack of true motivation. I think my head was in it, but I let my heart fall away. Anyway, last Monday, the 11TH of Oct, my wife and I were going to a friends house for some prayer. On the way, my wife said let's do this full tilt (I'm paraphrasing a little). Now, my wife has been saved for quite some time, but had a troubling experience. So to hear her say that she not only wanted to recommit, but to do it with all her being (as if there is any other way), well, it was music to my ears. So, I guess you could say that we are "re-born again" in Christ.

I'm hoping that it just keeps getting better. I know it will, but I also know that there will be trials along the way. I hope to get involved in some discussions here and please, if anyone needs prayer, don't hesitate to PM with your request. I know there is also a request board, so I'll make sure and try and pray for as many people as I can.

Glad I found these forums and God Bless each and every one of you!!

Your Brother In Christ,
Robert

Hello Robert.  Welcome aboard friend.   I have those up and downs in my walk as well.   I think its just part of how God helps us grow in our faith.   Read the word, (eat) and pray/spend time with God (breath).   This will keep you coasting through those valley's when our spiritual walk seems to loose a beat here and there.

Hope to bump into you on a few threads in the near future.

Grace and Peace!

Hi and welcome.  :) I've enjoyed your posts.

LOL @ 're-born again'. I think most of us have been through that at one time or another.  :-X When I was young I accepted Christ as my Savior. When I was older I accepted Him as Lord of my life.

And it does keep getting better - though it does not keep getting any easier.  ;)

[glow=Green,2,300]I've been enjoying these forums since day 1. Not only are they a way of helping me learn more about my favorite subject, but I'm meeting a lot of nice people, I'm getting a lot of info on things I hadn't even thought about, and I have like, well, as many members of the forums here for prayer when I need it. It's an awesome experience.

God Bless...
Robert
