Title: Love Your Neighbor
Post by: C C on April 29, 2004, 11:21:17 AM
 ;D

Reasons why I don't have to treat my neighbor with love

When I don't treat my neighbor with love
I don't do justice to my God above
When my doctrine justifies this behavior
that I excuse myself from doing my neighbor a favor
all the world can see
that my teachings are about my own and me
what good does it do
to favor my chosen few
don't sinners do that too?
Oh, I too am a sinner
and in living out His love I might be just a beginner
It's not easy to love my neighbor
but I will refrain from doctrines that justify this behavior
If we want to the world to see
what it means to live out his love
If we want to give glory
to our God above
Then Christianity has to be
About living out the love of the One Who died on a tree
to save all of us sinners including my neighbor with me.

Does anyone have any doctrines that justify us from having to love our neighbor

and treat them with dignity

and love

even if they don't agree with us

or go to our church.

Post them here so we can find out what is teachings and doctrines that get held higher than the greatest commandment,

What doctrines justify Christians when they don't live out His Love the way that He commanded us to in His Greatest commandment.
