Corpus,
Near as I can tell, the jpeg (or any other image) must reside on the internet on another sight.  You then copy the URL of the image into your message between the infamous
"image" qualifiers from the menu above your reply window, and your image will magically apear.
 :)

If you get the little red [X] it means it is not finding the link on the WWW.  Could be a typo, or the link is to a page rather than a specific image, or a number of other thinks.

All I can say is keep trying... ???

Oklahoma Howdy to Corpus,

Let me try to give you a few hints that might help. First, the address to the graphic must be complete and in the right case (lower most of the time) for the graphic to be displayed. It is also important to note that extremely long addresses cause some servers to choke or treat it like some sort of destructive code. Here's an example:

http://www.sirinet.net/~blkidps/s16.gif (http://www.sirinet.net/~blkidps/s16.gif)

This is the complete and correct address to an elephant dancing.   ;D  If I called the graphic with S16.gif instead of s16.gif, it wouldn't work. This is called a hot link because the graphic is already on the Internet, is available 24/7, and it has a complete Internet address.

{img}{/img}

Replace "{}" with "[]". I had to use the other symbol because the right symbol was giving the server a command without the contents.

You would place the complete Internet address dead center of the image commands above. So, here's the dancing elephant:

(http://www.sirinet.net/~blkidps/s16.gif)

I hope this helps.

Love In Christ,
Tom
