The Patriot Post® · Joe Biden and the Collective Constituencies Strategy
By Mark Alexander · May 1, 2019
https://patriotpost.us/alexander/62730-joe-biden-and-the-collective-constituencies-strategy

“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the contrary, when people are universally ignorant, and debauched in their manners, they will sink under their own weight without the aid of foreign invaders.” —Samuel Adams (1775)
Finally, Barack Obama’s1 former sidekick, 76-year-old Joe Biden2, stopped sniffing around his 2020 presidential prospects and took a bite, becoming the 20th Democrat to enter the free-for-all. (More in a minute on that large confab of contenders and their constituencies.)

Could it be that the Biden nomination will be a sequel to the Hillary Clinton3 v Bernie Sanders4 show — before Clinton and her DNC hacks sandbagged Sanders5 and his Millennial supporters?

Biden and Sanders are leading the Demo pack in most polls, and Uncle Joe is surging ahead6 with double-digit leads.

Back in 2008, then-Senator Biden was proud to be tapped to be then-Senator Obama’s running mate, declaring, as only Joe Biden can, that Obama was “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” He added, “I mean, that’s a storybook, man!”

If 2020 was a replay of 2008, then the young, energetic black candidate would be Sen. Kamala Harris7 (D-CA) or Sen. Cory Booker8, and they’d choose an old white guy like Biden or Sanders as their elder, more experienced running mate.

However, if I were a bettin’ man (which I am not), I think this race may shape up more like the last presidential election, when the old white Demo, Hillary Clinton, chose a younger candidate of the opposite sex, Sen. Tim Kaine, as her running mate.

In 2016, before Obama’s deep-state actors9 were able to divert attention from the mounting evidence of Hillary’s abject corruption10 to their Russian collusion fabrication11, I suggested that a fallback default ticket would be Biden-Warren12.

But if Biden is the nominee this round, I don’t think he’d choose Warren — too much “old” and “white” on that ticket for the newly “woke” Democrat base.

Biden, after finding a way to do what Clinton did to dispense with Sanders, will choose a younger running mate of the opposite race and sex, who, by default, would be Kamala Harris. By now, I’m sure ol’ Joe thinks she’s “the first mainstream African-American [woman] who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking [gal].”

“I mean, that’s a storybook, man!”

Donald Trump13 quickly dubbed Biden “Sleepy Joe,” but he is not likely to be the discarded establishment candidate as was the case with “Low Energy” Jeb Bush in 201614. A Biden-Harris ticket would be neither “low energy” nor “sleepy.”

However, Biden does have an uphill jog — from his long history of gaffes and guffaws, to his more recent “Creepy Joe” whiffing around women15. Though Biden insists there was “not one single whisper of scandal” during his tenure in the Obama regime, there were lots of SHOUTS about scandals, like the politically motivated Benghazi coverup16.

Now about that aforementioned strategy behind running a crowded field of Demo primary contenders…

This seems to confound many conservative commentators, who laugh it off as a “clown circus.” But this strategy is no laughing matter.

The current Demo presidential primary strategy to defeat Trump dictates that the Left should field a lot of candidates, with the objective of raising a lot of money to build each candidate’s respective constituency. At the end of the primary, fold all those identity-politic constituencies into one massive amalgamation of general-election voters — a “collective constituency of dunces,” as I fondly refer to it. Then focus that amalgam on defeating Trump.

Don’t get me wrong. Democrats haven’t completely cornered the market of uninformed constituents, but they definitely have a controlling interest!

Based on poll averages for the Demo field of primary contenders, the top five17 are Biden and Sanders, first and second, and then South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Warren, and Harris in varying order thereafter.

Who are their respective constituencies?

Biden appeals to middle America, those seeking a steady, experienced candidate, who can win back the blue-collar workers that Trump co-opted in 2016. While the once-erudite but now increasingly boorish columnist George Will would support most any breathing Democrat over Trump, I agree with him that Biden appeals to chaos-weary voters18 — and that constituency dips deep into moderates of both parties.

Sanders appeals to the growing socialist wing of the party from coast to coast — which used to be its left wing but is rapidly becoming its center, especially with its thirst for a government-run health system. His mostly 18- to 40-year-old urbanite constituency is large, and his candidacy should be taken seriously4.

Pete Buttigieg19 came from nowhere to third place almost overnight. He did so after starting a “fake faith fight20” with Vice President Mike Pence in order to make sure every woman in America knows Buttigieg is gender dysphoric21… uh, I mean “gay.”

Why? The number of homosexual voters is minuscule, but the number of women who sympathize with homosexual males is huge. Women are the Democrats’ largest voter bloc, and Demo Party strategists believe women are emotionally incontinent idiots22, too irrational to discern and reject their emotive political bait. Thus, they use “gay” bait to capture the female voter gender gap23. Buttigieg isn’t riding a “rainbow wave” so much as an emotive female wave.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren24 appeals to the East Coast elite, and the wealthy Democrat establishment types who fund much of the Left. She is trying to rally younger voters with giveaway graft like “free” education25.

Harris, for her part, has broad appeal across gender, racial, and ideological lines, and helps solve Biden’s placating racial remarks and female-sniffing problem.

In addition to the “collective constituency” strategy, these candidates have collectively raised much more money than Trump has, and at the end of the primary, all the dollars they raised will be used to rally constituents who’ll vote for the eventual Democrat nominee.

In order of their earnings as of the end of the 2019 first-quarter reporting period:

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders26: $21 million

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren24: $16.5 million

California Sen. Kamala Harris7: $13.2 million

New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand27: $12.6 million

Former Maryland Rep. John Delaney28: $12.1 million

Former Texas Rep. Robert Francis “Beto” O'Rourke29: $9.4 million

South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg19: $7 million

Former Veep Joe Biden2: $6.3 million in the first day of his campaign

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker8: $5 million

The lesser cast of candidates has raised $15 million combined.

By comparison, President Trump raised $30.3 million in the first quarter. In other words, Demos raised $120 million to Trump’s $30 million war chest.

Of course, the free 24/7/365 promotional advertising these leftists receive from their Demo/MSM propaganda machine30 is priceless.

According to Joe Biden, the 2020 election is “a battle for the soul of the country31.”

Indeed, given the Democrat Party’s growing collective constituencies of dunces, their efforts to undermine the constitutional structure of the Electoral College32, and their latest effort to block the citizenship question33 on the next census in order to enlarge their congressional districts, the 2020 election will be a battle not only for the soul of America but for the future of American Liberty34.

Footnote: ¡Libertad para el pueblo Venezolano! A message in support of Liberty for the Venezuelan people35 — and a warning for Bernie Sanders and his pathetic cadre of socialist wannabes… You can vote your way into socialism, but you will have to shoot your way out — unless your guns have been confiscated.
