Title: Why are the studies exclusive?
Post by: Ananda on February 22, 2004, 08:10:54 PM
Hi!  I'm Christian, baptised and everything, so this question doesn't apply to me specifcally.

I was wondering why you don't allow non-Christians to participate in bible studies.  I can understand why you wouldn't want one to lead one, but wouldn't it be more evangelistic to allow them to ask questions and try to lead them to the Lord?

I'm sure you have a reason for what you do here; since I'm new, I'm asking.

Work well in the kingdom.  Love, a Christian.

Please read and meditate upon 1 Cor. 2:1-16 for your answer.  To discern spiritual things one needs the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Ananda,

As you can see, it is bad enough when religious persons, who think they are christians ask questions, which are not made to learn, but to interject untruth into Gods word, and cause strife and division.

Bible studies are made to give an opportunity to share insight and spiritual thoughts in the advancing  the undertsanding  that, which is written, and especially to assist new Christians to learn and tie together biblical teaching, comparing spiritual with spiritual, in accordance with what the Holy Spirit teaches.

I do not see a problem with the non-christians asking questions, but for the most part non-christians really aren't interested in  scripture, at this level, they are more interested in r advancing their own agenda.

And besides, There is a forum, for them to ask questions.  This just isn't the one.

Blessings,

Petro
