Title: Issues Christian Couples Should Discuss Before Getting Married
Post by: kalynblackson on July 18, 2012, 01:50:40 AM
Getting married is a serious and religious thing, and this is the main reason a pastor from Grapevine Texas encouraged every couple to talk about issues that will make their marriage bond stronger - and intimacy should be on top of that list of issues.

Now, as religious, Chirstian couples, let us hear your thoughts about this interesting topic :)

I see this is your first post, so welcome. I've been married only once for 39 years. I would simply say that I think that sex is only a small part of real intimacy that lasts. I think that the same is true with real love. I firmly believe these important issues are confused in our society with sex, and that may be one reason why so many marriages fail. A bigger reason is not putting God first in the household.

:o This is a topic that can open a can of worms!

Nowadays..... No woman should marry a male that is 25 years oild or younger... period. The male has not matured enough to really grasp hold of what a marriage is all about.

Men are in love with sex.... women in love with the concept of *Luv*.

Men watch porn.... Women read porn. That is right ladies... you read porn.... how many of you have your romance pulp novels and read them? Some read 2 or 3 books on a weekend. No man can be one of those characters in one of those novels.

I know I am going to catch a flack about what I just said.... but really really contemplate what I said and there is a lot of truth there. SAD, but truth. Point is "we" have gone backwards. I do not think God had intentions on the way we do things now. Could be one reason why homosexuality is increasing.

Title: Marriage is forever

Marriage is forever!

So true

"And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:5-6)

to help in preparation for marriage, you need adequate counselling. I suggest a book called "Model marriage"
