Title: WHY COME TO CHURCH?
Post by: Hugh-MANN on March 17, 2012, 03:28:23 PM
Why Come to Church?

==============

Why are the Saints commanded thusly?

Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,

as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:

and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Is it to hear the Reading of the Written Word?

They can read it for themselves at Home!
[/b]

Is it to hear the Preaching of the Word?

They can turn on their Televisions and hear that

24 hours a day?

Is it to hear the Exposition of the Word?

They can go to any Christian Bookstore,

and buy the same Reference Volumes the preacher has!

Is it to Praise and Worship the Lord?

you can do that anywhere!

Is it to Pray?

You can do that anywhere except in a Public School!

What is the one thing about being gathered together, that you cannot do just as well, alone at home? And the answer is,

"Be Gathered Together!"

 [/b]

Jesus Said in Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together

in my name,

there am I in the midst of them.

You can have a thousand people jammed into a tiny room, and none of them be "gathered together!"

There is something more required

than just being in the same physical location!

Acts 2:1

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come,

they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:44,46

And all that believed were together,

and had all things common;

And they, continuing daily

with one accord in the temple,

Acts 4:32

And the multitude of them that believed

were of one heart and of one soul:
[/b]

1 Corinthians 1:10

Now I beseech you, brethren,

by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

that ye all speak the same thing,

and that there be no divisions among you;

but that ye be perfectly joined together

in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Peter 3:8-9

Finally, be ye all of one mind,

having compassion one of another,

love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:

but contrariwise blessing;

knowing that ye are thereunto called,

that ye should inherit a blessing.

John 17:21

That they all may be one;

as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,

that they also may be one in us:

that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them;

that they may be one, even as we are one:

I in them, and thou in me,

that they may be made perfect in one;

and that the world may know that thou hast sent me,

and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
[/b]

This is the Secret of Revival, this is the Power of Pentecost! It is when the Saints of God, assemble themselves together as one Body, Linking themselves into a "Hive Mentality," that things begin to happen!

When we achieve this "Collective Unity," When all have only one Heart and Soul between them, this is when they are of "one accord!" This is when they truly become one with each other!

This is when the Head of the Body can become ONE with the Body of the Body!

It is then that Jesus will manifest Himself within the Body, and the Members of the Body will begin to spiritually minister to each other's needs!

"This Is What Having Church Is All About!"

Jesus does not call his Ministers to become a one man show! It seems that the only time that the Local Churches are on the "same sheet of music" is when they are singing the same Hymn!

If you cannot gather together in "collective unity"

truly becoming One with one another,

then you might as well stay home and watch Television!
[/b]

This is part of what attaining unto

"The measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,"

Is All About!
[/b]

When we begin to fully understand what First Corinthians Chapter 12 is all about, we begin to realize that some Manifestation of the Spirit, is given to every member of the Body of Christ! These Spiritual Gifts are given to individuals, but they belong to the entire Church, and are for the benefit of the entire Church.

Ephesians 4:16

From whom the whole body fitly joined together

and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,

according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,

maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:16 NIV

From Him the whole body,

joined and held together by every supporting ligament,

grows and builds itself up in love,

as each part does it work!

It is the purpose of the Fivefold Ministry, to help each of us discover what our Spiritual Gift is, then train us how to use that Gift! When the Body assembles itself together, it is so that every member of the Body, can minister in love, to every other member of the Body!

This Is What Having Church Is All About!

Yes Why?
Here is the answer.... :o

                                                                 HOLY SPIRIT
2 Corinthians 4:4 [satan,]  has long enough blinded us with the help of the Christian preacher, now
here is the Light for us who believe in Jesus Christ.   Now then, it is  unmistakable clear [ satan and his demons ] can not enter GODS HOLY TEMPLE. This means us ! Of course if we accept GODS  presents.
Colossians 1:27  To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this {  mystery, } which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. [However, the New Testament is clear that Christ, by the Holy Spirit takes up permanent residence in all believers ]
Luke 11:13  If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Luke 12:10  And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
Acts 5:32  We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."
Acts 7:48  "However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says:
 1 Corinthians 3:16  Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?
 1 Corinthians 3:17  If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred,  and you are that temple.
1 Corinthians 3:18  Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age,
   he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise.
1 Corinthians 6:19  Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,
   whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
1 Corinthians 6:20  you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
 2 Corinthians 13:14  May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
    and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Ephesians 1:13  And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.
    Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
 Ephesians 4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
 1 Thessalonians 1:6  You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering,
    you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.
 1 Thessalonians 4:8  Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject  man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
 2 Timothy 1:14  Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to youguard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
Titus 3:5  he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
    He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
Hebrews 2:4  God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
Hebrews 3:7  So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice,
 Hebrews 6:4  It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
Hebrews 10:15  The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
 Romans 8:9  You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you.
    And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
Romans 8:10  But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
Romans 8:11  And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you,
    He  who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Colossians 1:26-29 For ages and ages this message was kept secret from everyone, but now it has been explained to God's people. 27 God did this because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and glorious mystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is your hope of sharing in God's glory.
28 We announce the message about Christ, and we use all our wisdom to warn and teach everyone, so that all of Christ's followers will grow and become mature. 29 That's why I work so hard and use the mighty power he gives me.
As soon as you realize of the reality of Jesus Christ in us, it would drastically change our Attitudes-Emotions and Actions.
