Title: womens ministry
Post by: handysoap on July 19, 2011, 05:38:19 PM
Just wondering...
does your church have a women's ministry?
what is it like?
how often does it meet?
do you feel edified from attending it?

;)  I know that I'm not a woman, but I'll speak for my church - no, we don't have a separate women's ministry. I'm not aware of any churches in my area that have something like this.

It depends on what you consider a women's ministry. The church I'm a member of doesn't have a specific ministry just for women or for men. It is a rather small church. It does have group activities for different age groups though. I work with other churches in the area though and one of the larger ones does have meetings on a different Saturday each month where they serve breakfast, have a sermon, prayer, some great fellowship and discuss activities for the church and the community. That same church also has similar meetings by age group also. These meetings usually involve more than just members of that church. It includes those from the smaller churches that are spread out in the smaller cities near by and has some attending that don't otherwise go to any church.

Not either. We do have a Sunday School with classes broken down by age group - but not gender.

That there shouldn't be any. I realize this is an area of interest for you because of two previous posts, but I have no desire to discuss or debate this topic. If you do a search of the forum, you should find a thread debating this topic.
