Absolute Eternal Truth

The central core of the Christian faith is either absolute truth or it is nonsense. Being absolute, the truths which it proclaims also claim to be eternal. If they were not absolute, if they were not eternal, they would not be worth believing. Scientific knowledge, on the other hand, is relative, relative to what at any given moment happens to have been found out about the natural world. A religion which is in constant process of revision to square with science's ever-changing picture of the world might well be easier of belief, but it is hard to believe that it would be worth believing. -- C.E.M.Joad

"You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, so that you may keep the commands of the LORD your God which I command you." (Deu 4:2)

"For I am the LORD, I change not." (Mal 3:6a)

"So you are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Yea, there is none. I have not known a Rock." (Is 44:8b)

"To whom will you compare Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we may be alike?" (Is 46:5)

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." (Jn 14:6a)

"Remember former things from forever, for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure...Yes, I have spoken, I will also cause it to come; I have formed; yes, I will do it." (Is 46:9-11)
