Title: New and old software
Post by: daniel1212av on November 22, 2010, 10:06:11 PM
Came across this looking for another RefTagger type freeware:  http://www.instaverse.com/

Says "InstaVerse has a convenient ability to "inject" scripture quickly into a document you are writing. Just type any scripture reference (e.g. "Gen 1:1-3") and then press a hotkey, and InstaVerse replaces your reference with the full Bible text, instantly!

Works in Internet Explorer, Outlook, Outlook Express, Firefox, and Microsoft Word. Requires Windows XP or later. Vista compatible."

Have not tried it as i really do not use MS Word and Open Office is not supported.

And for those who play the keys, years ago i found a freeware called KB Piano, which was then free, but the later versions were not, though i think i now costs just 4.50. It turns your keyboard into a piano or other instruments, which i cannot play either, but kind of neat. I think this is the last free version here:  http://kb-piano.lastdownload.com/download.html

Hello Brother Daniel,

First, it's great to hear from you. I don't use Microsoft Word either. Open Office is my choice for an office suite. I hope that others will get some good ideas with this. I also usually have e-Sword running in the background for my Bible needs. However, I definitely see the value of RefTagger, even though my personal habit is to go ahead and post the portion of Scripture.

Love In Christ,
Tom

;)  I used to play the piano fairly well 40+ years ago. I somehow lost interest when I got older and had so many responsibilities. I also didn't have the money for my own piano.
