Title: Where to discuss Christians Uniting?
Post by: eschator83 on October 18, 2010, 09:03:43 PM
I'm not having much success in finding discussion of Christians making efforts to unite, or even anything much on suggestions, plans, or hopes.  Can you point me to the best forum, or set one up?  I think most of us, whatever our Church, have a sick feeling that virtue and morality in much of the world is sinking, despite some evangelical success, particularly in the Soviet Union, China, and Africa.
Many of us dread the great block of communists, muslims, unions, educators, and entertainers that so aggressively seeks a universal government and is willing to cultivate chaos to achieve it.  It seems obvious that only a united Christianity, with other peaceful and freedom-loving people, has much chance to prevent a steady trend of government takeover and consolidation of power by the those groups.

First you ask about how to do a personal message in the signature area of your messages. You don't - private messages are turned off due to abuse by advertisers, con men, etc.

Second, you ask about uniting Christians. I personally think that the Tribulation Period is right around the corner. So, I think that things are going to get much worse - not better. I don't claim any special knowledge on this subject, just what is written in the Holy Bible. It appears that the world is already in a nose-dive into evil chaos.

I also believe that the Rapture of the Church which is the Body of Christ is soon. This is the Church not made with human hands, a living body of all saved believers of all time. There is a big difference between a "church" and "THE CHURCH". THE CHURCH is united around Jesus Christ, and this unity will be perfected for Eternity. Many churches are having big problems in being conformed to the world while THE CHURCH is being perfected through the mighty working of God. When the time comes for the Tribulation Period, no combination of powers will be able to stop or slow it, and the world will see 7 years of horrendous evil and bloodshed like never seen in human history. This is all foretold in Bible Prophecy, and I personally believe that this time is near.

St Paul and a few others through the years also thought the end was right around the corner, despite Jesus' firm statement that only the Father knows.  Paul suggested that people stop marrying, perhaps great advice considering the impending devastation of Jerusalem.  But we have lives to live, children to raise and educate.  I think we should celebrate our Christianity and improve our world, stewards as God intended us to be.  Why call ourselves ChristiansUnite if we oppose it?  I pray others will post encouragement here.

I try every day the best that I can, but that doesn't change the fact that the world is a cesspool getting worse by the minute. Regardless, I'll keep trying the best that I can, but only Jesus Christ will be able to straighten out this mess and make a real peace at His Second Coming in great and holy wrath. As for me, I haven't stopped any of my efforts and won't until God takes me home. I'm not suggesting that anyone else stop either - keep trying. If you've ever studied Bible Prophecy, you should notice many signs around the world. By the way, I didn't set any dates or even a period of time, and I certainly don't oppose Christians Uniting to do what we can. Most of us already are and have been for most of our years.

We are indeed supposed to withdraw, to be separate, from that which is worldly. Unfortunately many forget that there is much that is spiritual that is involved in this world also and we should not withdraw from that also but to continue in God's work. To do all in and for His name. It is that complete withdrawal that is leading to the demise of many souls.
