Title: Statistical correlations: Faith, politics, money, happiness.
Post by: daniel1212av on January 19, 2010, 10:29:12 AM
http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/Statistical_Correlations.html

Began this and kept adding, though it may have been wasted time. I am interested in correlations btwn faith and morality, etc., as seen here: http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/RevealingStatistics.html,  and this adds to that.

This take a lot of study to get much out it, and it is best to download  from here, http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/Statistical_Correlations.pdf, and print it color and in legal size paper if possible.

What is perhaps most evident is the  correlation btwn strong faith, money, and happiness,  with the second not equaling the latter (nor does the former always show high in the latter) , as well as between faith and conservative politics.

Comments?

Hello Daniel,

I made a copy of the PDF and will take a look at it. At first glance, I'm not sure what you've done and what the data is based on (i.e. polls, etc.), but I'll try to figure it out.

Yes, this is a compilation of how states rank according to their voting record, faith, beliefs, etc., from polls and records, and their possible relations to each other. The new version makes that a bit clearer.  Click on the word "rank" to go to the sources.

Hello Daniel,

I looked at your web page on this subject today, and I'm beginning to see what you've done. There's a massive amount of statistical data on each category. I just looked at one, and it was 210 pages (% of Evangelical Christians). You have some pretty shocking information on your web page labeled "America In Decline". I knew things were getting bad and evil, but it's hard to imagine how quickly things have gotten worse. Naturally and obviously, there is a big price associated with evil. Looking at the big picture of evil in a statistical manner is eye-opening and very sad. I think that I now understand how to look at the work you've done, and it is a ton of work. Thanks!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Yes, there are a lot of stats to digest, and the "America in decline" (Revealing Statistics) page is a ongoing work. That is about 66 letter size pages in its B+W PDF form (refresh page and see download link at top) . Most  alarming is the decline in numbers of evang., esp., as % of young persons, and the rise in agnostics and atheists, and witchcraft.  This corresponds to the rise in immorality. Pray and preach.

I just added state rankings of giving per % of income to the Statistical Correlations.html page.  That's all i can fit and still have a printable  PDF version.

To God be the glory.

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for the additional link. I have a large collection of founding documents - what was the foundation of our educational system - and how sad it has become today. This, I believe, is another sign of the times - the End Days of this Age of Grace.

Love In Christ,
Tom
