Title: Where will I find God's true Church to day ?
Post by: MATTHEW24:14 on November 04, 2009, 08:29:19 PM

Where is God’s True Church to Day?

Is there a true church in this world today? And if so, how can it be identified?
Thousands of different church denominations claim to be following Jesus Christ.
Yet they teach thousands of different “gospels” and disagree on countless points of doctrine.
Is Jesus Christ the Head of all these denominations?   Is Jesus Christ divided?
Or is there a true Church of God that stands apart from this religious Babylon?
How can you recognize God’s true Church?         If there is any ?
Of all the religious questions facing the modern truth-seeker, this is certainly the most demanding and also the most frustrating. Conflicting voices from every Church declare that they have the answer.   Denominations, sects, and cults make strident claims based upon emotional interpretations of isolated Bible texts.
Yet, it is also true that every Christian has access to the same mighty power of God for overcoming those frailties.
But the question remains: Is there some valid way to identify the church which is closest to the biblical standards of truth?

I am reluctant to make any claims for what you are about to read, although I know very well that it could revolutionize your life.  Do not scan or read lightly the material which follows.  I ask only that you study it prayerfully and with an open mind.  Then, judge it on the basis of the Scriptures and your own spiritual convictions. If it is truth, the Holy Spirit will guide you into joyful recognition of it. My personal feeling is that you will find this experience to be the most exciting adventure you have ever had in God’s Word.

It must be apparent to all that if God has a special church in the world today, He will reveal it clearly and explicitly in His holy Word.
The average Christian today has been so totally turned off  by these exaggerated boasts that many have even discounted the possibility that any “true church” could really exist.

YES…….IT EXIST, …..and it is very important to recognize that You
“yes you” are the  “true Church and Temple” of the Holy Spirit that dwells in you.
Act 7:48    That means, if you can not find God within your self, you will not find God in any Church, building or Temple made by human hands.

QUOTE:
Act 2:17 in the last days, God says…I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Colossians 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
1 Corinthians 3:16-19 don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s Temple (Church - Sanctuary)  and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
If anyone destroys (any which way) God’s Temple, God will destroy him/her;
For God Temple is sacred, and you are that Temple.
Jesus Christ by his Spirit dwells in all true believers.

1 Corinthians 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of
Jesus Christ himself?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Therefore Honor God with your body.

Please notice:  that disobedience immediately disqualifies one to be Spirit-filled. This remarkable representative of God is offended when His primary function is denied.
His very nature is to make sin appear exceedingly sinful. Sin cannot comfortably remain where the Holy Spirit abides.  Either the sin is renounced or the Holy Spirit finally will be rejected and depart.
Refusing to walk in the light does not bring an immediate separation from God,
but persistent disobedience continues to harden the conscience to the seriousness of sin. Hebrews 10:26  That state of darkness developed by repeated violation of known truth is what we refer to as the unpardonable sin . The most deadly danger facing anyone today is to insult the Holy Spirit of God by refusing obedience to His conviction.
The most deceptive aspect of the unpardonable sin is the seeming comfort with which people are able to live without God.

The greatest mistake people can make is to believe that they can come to God whenever they choose. The truth is that you can only obey God when the Spirit is speaking to your heart.

I repeat that you can only obey God when the Spirit is convicting you to come. When that Spirit is driven away and rejected, there is no possibility for repentance.

The most presumptuous thing anyone can do is to pray for an understanding of the truth, and then refuse to obey when God answers that prayer.

Satan knows that faith without works is dead, and he also knows that continued transgression grieves away the Holy Spirit. His most concentrated attack is upon the will, and obviously, he is having great success in causing people to postpone obedience. The longer they wait, the greater their chance of waiting longer, and the greater their danger of driving away the Holy Spirit.
If we turn away from that Spirit and refuse to listen and obey, God will have to let us go and be lost.
I'll tell you why: because the Holy Spirit is the only way God can reach an individual. There is no other way for God to save a person except through the Holy Spirit. That is the way we are led to repentance. If we do not have the Holy Spirit, there is no hope for us.
Note: I was a skeptic before I started my amazing journey of discovery, and finely realized that the Holy Bible is God’s Words and not human words from the beginning to the end .
But once I saw the accuracy of the Bible predictions, I realized God can not lie.
That is peoples interpretation of the Bible, that make God lies.

There is only one safe thing to do with truth - obey it! You cannot get over it, around it, or through it. It won't go away, and it will not change. We don't break God's law; it breaks us if we disobey it.
Thank you God for your blessings, for giving  and trusting me to be your Sanctuary Amen.

MATTHEW24:14, sajang, Pastor Franszwa,

While some of your post holds some truth other portions of it are highly questionable therefore the reason that I moved this post to the Debate section. I will not argue it with you myself however a 'works is required to maintain salvation' is not Biblical.

Welcome to the forums.  I do hope that your time here will be educational.

Reading through your post I have to agree with what Pastor Roger said.

But something stuck out for me

Quote
I repeat that you can only obey God when the Spirit is convicting you to come. When that Spirit is driven away and rejected, there is no possibility for repentance.

And I have to disagree with you here on two core points.  The first one is obeying God.  Please read Romans 2:14-15
I have them here from NASB
14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,

We see clear indications of people doing the law...obeying God...even if they have not been given the Law...it is instinctual for us.  So yeah we can obey God without being convicted by the Holy Spirit.  Mind you I am not saying that one can be saved by doing the law or anything of that nature.  Simply we can obey the law, which is obeying God, without the Holy Spirit convicting us....there are millions of non-Christians who are obeying the commandment not to kill, or have adultery, etc.  But without Christ in their lives they would still be going to Hell.

The second part of that statement is also not entirely correct....It would only be correct if you said "the Spirit is driven away and rejected, and the unsaved person dies..."  only at the point of death if one has not received and believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is there no longer a chance to repent.  Richard Dawkins right now if he turned to God would be forgiven.  God only places one limitation on receiving the Holy Spirit....the physical death...we must experience the second birth before we experience the first death.

Hello MATTHEW24:14,

The only unpardonable sin after the CROSS is rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Works are not required for Salvation because Jesus Christ already completed the work most Perfectly at the Cross, and no man has anything of worth to add. Good works are part of our testimony before men and are only recognized as good works by God if they are done solely out of love and appreciation. As an example, they can't be done as a duty or for personal recognition.

The One True Church is the Church Which is the Body of Christ. That is a Church not made with human hands, and all members of it are Saved. The denomination of their local assembly makes no difference at all. The only thing that makes a difference is belief that Jesus Christ is who He said He was - what He did at the Cross - that He rose again from the dead. The start of Salvation is knowledge of our sins, sincerely wanting forgiveness, and knowing that we are in desperate need of a Saviour. There's only One - Jesus Christ, and our faith in Him sets us free from the curse of sin and death. Our faith in Jesus Christ is accounted to us as Righteousness, but it's the Righteousness of Christ imputed to us. Not one of us is worthy or righteous, and there is no amount of work or obedience that will make us worthy. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only way.

Romans 3:19-28  Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  21  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:  23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  26  To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.  27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.  28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

The church is not a religious organization such as we find in todays' world. Creations of men around faith in the Christ.

Church is a word used to translate a word meaning assembly.

God's assembly of folks being called out of the world by His gospel of His Son, seperated unto Him, are the saved, Those who believe it.

These are the body of the Lord and individual members of this body.

The organized meetings and incorporated organizations we know as churches are not as revealed in scriptures, however some of the called may be among them.

It is an invisible kingdom until Christ returns.

There are some in this church.......some in that church.......here......and there.......and some that might not even be found in a church building.

The real Church is not physical buildings........but individuals who are part of the body of Christ.   These are the ones who love Christ with their whole heart..... and have turned their lives over to Him.

God knows who they are.

The question is asked: ''IS THERE A TRUE CHURCH IN THIS WORLD TODAY?  AND IF SO HOW CAN IT BE IDENTIFIED?

Yes indeed!  Otherwise God is a liar, Matt.16:18 and Tit.1:3, and He cannot lie, Tit.1:2

Romans 12:5 KJV  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Galatians 6:10 KJV  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Ephesians 5:18-21 KJV  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;  19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;  20  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;  21  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Colossians 3:15-17 KJV  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

The Bible is a guide-book ( so to speak ) revealing God's mind to man.  Since Jesus said He would  ( and did ) build His church Matt.16:18, and since He cannot lie, Tit.1:2 it follows that the identity of His church can be found in the scripture for faith comes by "hearing and hearing by the word of God." Rom.10:17
