Title: apostacy- a song
Post by: ravenloche on January 20, 2004, 03:07:56 PM
here is one of the latest song that I have written;let me know
what you think!?

      APOSTACY

I'll say to my pastor what I think he wants to hear
    I'll act like a christian when I know a preacher's near
I'll walk down the middle unable to enjoy
life on either side, I'm like a broken toy

you find me Sunday morning setting on a church pew
you find me in the afternoon talking trash to you
I'm trying to live two lives that are as diff'rent as can be
I'm trying to belong in both worlds don't you see

no prayers in the schools the law has tried to say
from now on we put all of our bibles away
no pledge of alligiance, no spiritual prod
no teaching our kids that we are under on God

separation of church and state they try to say
not thinking at all that we need to go God's way
morals and righteousness we no longer need
instead the world wants to grow different seed

but let us turn back to the ways of old
and let us get back to speaking out bold
living for Jesus in a holy way
walking for God is the only way

to turn a nation that is full of sin
back to where we must again begin
back to the hill and to the cross
until all of our sin is lost
under the flow of crimson blood
yes under the washing of love's flood

 respectfully yours in Yeshua:

 ;Dravenloche ;D

I like it!
Christian AND patriotic.
You’ve described the classic “fence-walker” quite well (we all know a few):  Those who ‘talk the talk’ (when someone is listening), but when it comes time to ‘walk the walk’ they are too weak to tie their walking shoes.

here is another recent song--let me know your thoughts

         STEAL AWAY

   key Eb  DATE: 7/05/03  TIME: 4:15 P.M.

vs 1   here I am Lord
   once again upon my knees
   and I'm asking Lord
to wash me and cleanse me please
   free me from these sins
that I keep holding on to
   wash me in your blood
and make me more like you

chorus   search me O God
and know me thru and thru
   wash away my fears
   and my spirit renew
   lead me by your voice
   gentle wisper, mighty wind
   wash me by your blood
and free my soul from sin

vs 2   the cares of this world
   my family, my friends
   sometimes make me feel
   that troubles have no end
'till I steal away in prayer
and I kneel before your throne
soon I feel your arms surround me
and I know that I'm not alone

   repeat chorus

Oklahoma Howdy to Ravenloche,

AMEN BROTHER!

Do you already have the music to go with these? If so, it may be time to see a publisher.

Love In Christ,
Tom

yes I have music for these, and the other 95 that I have
recorded. I do the music myself, with the help of my best
friend Hilkia.  I do the keyboards, and rythm guitar, he does the base guitar, and lead guitar. we use a synthesiser to
produce the drums.

If anyone is interested in our music, we will ship the cds to you for the shipping and production cost--around $3.00.
you can contact me at :

yeshuaservant777@yahoo.com

The music is both contemporary christian, and southern gospel

Oklahoma Howdy to Ravenloche,

Thanks Brother. Can I assume your songs have already been published and are available somewhere at a higher price that would help you continue your ministry? I think that I would feel guilty only paying $3.00.

Love In Christ,
Tom

BEP:

I have never wanted to gain fame or wealth from the songs
that the Lord has given to me. Music is just a small part of the
ministry that He has given me. At the moment there are
6 CDs, with several more in the making. We use the money to
further our ministry, but quite obviously we do not intend to
get rich with their sales. We pray more than anything that
they are a blessing to those who purchase them.
