Title: The "L" Word (Trend?)
Post by: Symphony on January 18, 2004, 07:25:13 PM

New show on this evening, women kissing, lesbians?

I don't know what time.  Something about it having something to do with a TV show called Sex and the City(?).

Anyway, that men will be watching it to see the women.  :-\

And who knows why women will be watching it.  ::)

Hmm.  Remember Pompeii.  Mt. Vesuvius erupted, and buried them.  Excavations show campaign signs on buildings.  It was an election year when Pompeii was buried.

The plot thickens:

Hi Symphony!

You know....I don't even want a TV in my house these days. How much lower can we really get in prime time television anymore. (daytime is chancy anymore too)  Not just with this show...but the trend that we are seeing.

I really don't even want to try and think about whatelse they can come up with ::)

Couldent agree more.  T.V. at present is getting worse all the time in some shows.  Most programs are decent enough.  Here is N. Ireland Chanell 5 is especially disgusting with far too much serial killer type films etc.  Death and more death.  We need to be cheered up, do we not?  I mainly watch T.V. to be cheered up.  I have eczema (skin rash) which constantly annoys me.

Greetings Symphony :)
St. Patricks day will be fun.  Last year I went to the cross community parade in Downpatrick.  Very enjoyable and even added attraction of a open air variety entertaint.  A pop group from England impersonating the Beatles.  I sang a long to many of these classic songs.  "Annahavil" means "marsh of the orchard."  This is the name of the townland I live in.  Marsh meaning the bog where I used to cut turf.  Turf is a fuel for the fire.  As for orchard our small one with only 2 useless plum trees seems to be the only one.  Being an Aquarian means my star sigh Aquarius.  I certainly dont follow star signs but thats another story.   :)

Isnt that "L" show going to be on HBO? I find it appauling myself. Well now that Gay eye or whatever it is called is mainstream... >:( anything goes. Its amazing, demoralizing, soft porn, extreme vulgar can be displayed on a daily basis for your children to flip thru on the tube, but you dare not use the word JESUS on TV in fear of being sued or having the plug pulled before the show is over, HOW sad!!!
I have to agree with others, I watch so little of TV anymore. Its really sickening. Just gives me more time in the Bible I suppose :)

Cakes, that says volumes.

Now there is "The Breast" during the super bowl halftime.  (Along with the dancing homosexual men in panties, and various "grabbing of crotch"...)  Some "celebrate it as "diversity".  "Diversity" has become the dirtiest word in the english language.

(In my "closed minded" opinion.)  >:(

Tell me the end is not near.  Go ahead, tell me.
(I won't believe you!)

Hi, Nateycakes.  Welcome.   Hi, JudgeNot.  Amen.

Oh, so neat, Annahavil.  Let's see, famous actors from Ireland--Greer Garson, Peter O'Tool(I think), Tommy Steel, a bunch here.

That sounds neat, The Beatles--"She loves me, yeah, yeah, yeah..."  and "I wanna hold your hannnnnnd, I wanna hold your hand". (hehe).   8)

So Annahavil the name of the town.  Hmmm, that's neat.  We have a CD of the Irish Tenors.  They sing songs of Ireland.  Some very sad.  Very beautiful songs.  They excellent singers.

So is the turf for your own fire?  Wow, that sounds so neat.  Do you also call them "peat bogs"?  I've heard of that.  Everything is so green there, huh.  Do you ever get snow?

Yes, a year ago I read up a bit on St. Patrick.  Seems he brought the gospel to Ireland?   In the 300s, or so?   Seems as a young man he was captured off the coast of England, and chieftains enslaved him, until he made his escape.  Then years later, he returned, with the gospel?

Ireland some beautiful literature, poetry and song.

I don't see who lesbians on Sex & the City will corrupt personally. Or in any other context.

If adults watch them, then they are fully capable of making an informed decision to do so, in which case it is their own concern.

Kids who understand what the subtext is in these things are old enough to make an informed decision.

Kids who do not, it cannot harm.
