Title: Hi there.
Post by: Lance on January 08, 2004, 09:34:59 AM
I'm new here but not new to forums.  My nickname was carefully chosen so my posts are not for the faint hearted.  I like the scriptures and quote them often.

God bless.

Pr 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

Hi there Tom, nice to meet you.  You have a very interesting web site that I shall explore more fully later on.  I am an "old guy" too.  I have not had too good an experience with our local constabulary, not for breaking the law but for not breaking it, but that is another story.  I am sure that you are not responsible for that.

God bless.

Pr 18:24  A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Naaaaaaahh.  We don't eat newbies for breakfast brother!  We make 'em take a dunk ( nigh unto said dump, which in retrospect, would have been much funnier!   ;D ) in my coffee cup!   :D

Hi 2nd Timothy

Hi Allinall,
You won't need to make me dunk.  I love it.  Nothing better than dunked ginger biscuits that break off half in your mouth and go cascading down your chest.  LOL

Oklahoma Howdy to Symphony,   ;D

Brother, I went to the site, but I don't think my old and worn out computer is big enough to see and hear it. All I can say is I have socks older than all the folks I did see.   ;D

Tibby will probably say that I need to get out more. If he does, I'm going to make him watch all of my recorded Lone Ranger episodes. If that doesn't fix him up, Hopalong Cassidy will be next.   ;D

Tom

Hey BEP, Hopalong Cassidy was my hero as a kid.  I was even in his fan club.  I still have 8 episodes of Roy Rogers too.
Chorus

A Four Legged Friend  --  A Four Legged Friend
D7                  G
He'll Never Let You Down
                               C

That's what I get for thinking you were one of those young guys. Yes, I really enjoyed Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. My whole family enjoyed listening to the Sons of the Pioneers sing and play. They were the group sitting around the ranch who suddenly decided to get their instruments out and play. How about Oklahoma Boy Gene Autry?

Tom

Some trails are happy ones
Others are blue
It's the way you ride the trail that counts
Here's a happy one for you
Happy trails to you
Until we meet again;
Happy trails to you
Keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds if we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy Trails to you
Till we meet again.
Happy trails to you
Until we meet again;
Happy trails to you
Keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds if we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy Trails to you
Till we meet again.

Yes we use miles like you.  They came over with the Romans and they left them behind.

Mt 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Oklahoma Howdy to All,

 ;D   ;D

I think that most of ya'll are crazy enough to get visitors' permits to Oklahoma. Realize that it would only be temporary, and you would have to prove you were interested in our high society, customs, and traditions to stay.

UM?? - cow chip tossing would be a good start.   :D

Oh, the farmer and the cowman should be friends,
Oh, the farmer and the cowman should be friends.
The cowman ropes a cow with ease,
The farmer steals her butter and cheese,
That's no reason why they cain't be friends.

Territory folks should stick together,
Territory folks should all be pals.
Cowboys dance with farmer's daughters,
Farmers dance with the ranchers' gals.
