God’s World - My Church

The lofty roof is the sky above,
For my church is the world God created with love.
Aisles formed by oceans surrounding the pews,
Where people enjoy the glorious views
Of flora and fauna over valley and hill,
With lakes and rivers that never lie still.
The congregation of many colours and creeds
Bloom like flowers from a mixture of seeds.
Melodious sounds are borne on the breeze
As choirs of songbirds are heard in the trees.
The baptismal light from the sun’s golden ray
Heralds the dawn of each new day.
In our darkest hours there’s a guiding light,
Like the moon and the stars that pierce the night.
The wind and the rain, the sea and the earth,
Bringing us sustenance as nature gives birth.
These are God’s blessings to you and to me,
For we are His children.
 God’s family.
But the evil forces of hatred and greed,
Are often vengeful in their will to succeed.
And the tears of the angels fall in vain
As they witness on earth mans` destruction and pain.
For the earthly treasures that man does store
Will count for nothing at Heaven’s door.
So let us follow in God’s righteous way,
As we live our lives day by day.
As brothers and sisters of God’s family
We should live in peace and harmony.
“Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these
You did not do for me”.
