Post by: nChrist on April 03, 2008, 11:04:10 AM
Brothers and Sisters,

Firefox is an amazing Browser, mainly because the Mozilla/Gecho engine that makes it work in multiple platforms and extremely adaptable for so many uses. There are new extensions all the time, and I just discovered one that I want to share with you.

It's called Stylish, and it's FREE like other Firefox Extensions. It does a variety of things and uses very simple CSS code to change screen colors, smooth scrolling, and a variety of things.

This is hard to imagine until you consider what this extension really does. I have trouble with my eyes and problems with various colors, so I now use "STYLISH" to change the colors on my screen to something that's easy for my eyes. There's a big variety to choose from, or you can write your own very easy CSS script.

Just for an example, my eyes don't get tired as quickly with darker backgrounds, so I now have my screen on Christians Unite set for dark green for the general background and black for areas where I'm typing in text. The fonts displayed are in easy colors for my eyes also - a mixture of greens, blues, and white.

Stylish can apply "STYLES" globally or for specific sites. There are also styles to add various functions, different menus, different icons, and really a list of hundreds of variations to customize browsing for individual needs or desires. I wanted to post information about this one because it really helps my eyes. I thought that other folks might have needs that could be fulfilled with this easy and quick extension. By the way, most of the STYLES can be previewed before you install them, and installation is AUTOMATIC. Anyone who has done a web page has probably used CSS, so you should be aware of just how versatile CSS is in modifying all kinds of things very easily.
