Title: The Heart Of It! How do we finish the work that Christ started?
Post by: armorbearer on March 29, 2008, 10:02:05 AM

Don't know if this topic has been talked about in any other discussions. If so direct me to it.  IF not, please let's talk.

HE finished the transgression that Adam started in the Garden. He made an end to sin. HE DIED FOR ME ( I think i'm bout to cry for the joy that it is in my heart). He was risen for my justification. He was obedient to THE FATHER, even to the point of death. While I was yet a sinner Christ died for us. HE did His part. And now He says to all that believe, FINISH THE WORK THAT I STARTED.

For we all have been given the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (NKJ) Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

It is our job as Christians, not to be so selfish that after we have excepted the fact that we are save through Christ, not to tell anyone else about it. He is the only begotten Son OF GOD.

So how do we reach those who believe that they are happy living the way that they do? Some get drunk on a consistent basis and believe that nothing is wrong with it. Some live a life of fornication and they're content with it. They're living and sowing to their flesh and don't know that they are reaping corruption. The enemy has the power to blind them so that they cannot see.  Salvation is free to them tat believe yet they don't wanna hear the truth.

God's love for us surpasses all understanding. HE loves us. And HE loves those that are in the world. THose who blaspheme HIS HOLY Name, HE still loves them.

  1 Corinthians 2:16 (Amplified Bible)
16For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him      knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

We must teach and preach the truth.

1 Corinthians 1521-22 (New King James Version)

For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

When it comes to the different denominations within the body of Christ, some tend to magnify our differences. But the one thing that we all have in common and must magnify is that we have Christ as our foundation. He is the first fruit of them that sleep (are dead).

Because of the disobedience of Adam in the Garden, sin entered into the world and thereby the law of sin and death fell on mankind. It is because of sin that we have to die. Some blame God because of death. They blame God when their loved ones die. But is Not Gods fault that we have to die. Romans 6:23(NKJ) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord..

But in Christ all shall be made alive. We have a Saviour. He is the Word of God that became flesh. And because of sin, He condemned sin in the flesh:
Romans 8:3 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

We were once separated from GOD because of sin. And being separated from GOD, we were spiritually dead. We had no hope and were withou God in this world. Without Christ, all would perish. It is because of the blood that He shed for us, that we have been redeemed. We have been bought with the blood. He reconciled us back to GOD.

Romans (NKJ) 5:   10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Romans 6:10(NKJ) For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

We rejoice because we know that we shall live with Him after this life is over.

John 11:25-26 (King James Version)     25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

We have life in Christ Jesus. Moreover, we know that we are born again because of the blood that he shed. Apart from Jesus, there is no life(spiritual). No one can come to GOD except by the Son. If you don't have Jesus, then you don't have GOD.

Title: Hell is not a big party!
Post by: armorbearer on April 02, 2008, 06:32:29 PM
    What is hell?
Have you ever heard a man say that he wants to go to hell?  Sad, but the reality to this answer is yes. Many people in the world believe that heaven is going to be boring and hell is gonna be a big party. They think that if they go to hell then they smoke, drink, fornicate, dance and party all they want.  This is a lie straight from the devil himself!  He leading the lost into thinking that HELL is gonna be fun.

We must shed the light of the Word on this lie.  Hell is exactly the opposite. It is torment, anguish, and gnashing of teeth.

Rev. 14:11     And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

             2Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them    into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Matt. 13: 41-43      41The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.[/b]

Hell, it's just like your cities justice center. If you commit a crime, the police take you jail and you stay there until you go before the judge. Hell is like a large holding facility. If you die without confessing Jesus as Lord, his angels will carry you away to hell.  If you die and go to hell, that's where you'll be until the day of judgement. And then you will be cast into the lake of fire.

Luke 16:    22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Rev. 20     12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

These scriptures here even cancel out the notion from other religions that try to say that God is too merciful to let anyone suffer in a place called hell.   Heaven is real and so is hell.  You cancel your reservation to hell by excepting Christ as Lord and Savior.  IT is the best decision anyone could ever make.
